Half Bathroom Refresh with Home Depot

29 December |

I’m so excited to team up with The Home Depot to bring you today’s blog post! I’ve been wanting to change our half bathroom since the day we moved in. I felt like the room was very boring and blah. This is the only bathroom on the first floor and I wanted my guests to feel a little something more than “builder-standard” when they needed to relieve themselves.

The first step we took in the right direction was selecting a new mirror and light fixture. We then looked into a new faucet for our pedestal style sink. I plan to change out the sink one day and add a cabinet but one step at a time here, people! The rest of the things we changed were easy upgrades that you can order on www.homedepot.com. I honestly forget how simple shopping on their website is (see my foyer refresh from earlier this year HERE – all from The Home Depot).

The Home Depot has a variety of decorations that can spruce up an are of your home, big or small! For behind the toilet, we added a basket to hold the toilet paper then above that a white shelf. I wanted to add a little dimension to this wall and being able to add a candle, small plant and picture frame was a great addition. The piece of art is something we brought with us from our previous home but The Home Depot has several great options for wall decor.

It’s funny, as I get older, I get so excited about little home projects like this. This room has been complete for a few days but I find myself smiling every time I walk in to use the restroom. A simple refresh for a bathroom, hallway or small space in your house will make a world of difference. And The Home Depot is the perfect place to start. I can’t wait to see what project we take on next!

  1. What kind of light bulbs did you use? I’m looking for some brighter lights in that style of bulb that aren’t vintage in light color – if that makes any sense!

  2. Very beautiful…..looks light, bright and fresh. Is that faux eucalyptus on the sink? Can you tell me where you found it? I’m having difficulty finding some that look that good. Thanks for any suggestions.

  3. Looks great!!! Do you know the wall color? Do you have the source for the basket? I have been looking for something but want to make sure I get the right size.
