Play Room Reveal with Pottery Barn Kids

20 August |

I’m thrilled to finally share the playroom that has been in the works for the past eight months, thanks to the amazing team at Pottery Barn Kids! We had a fantastic space that we envisioned turning into a play area for the girls, and the results are just incredible. I sent pictures of the room to a designer at Pottery Barn, and she helped to bring it all together! There are so many different sections and functions within the room, making it a versatile space they can enjoy for years to come. The girls are so excited to have a dedicated space to let their imaginations run wild!

Storage Area

One of the standout features of this room is this storage area. This is the piece we started our planning around. We had three of the bookcases in our previous home, and they were incredibly functional. I wanted to build on that foundation. I was excited because you can customize them specifically to the needs of your space! Our final product has drawers at the bottom, doors in the middle, and open shelving at the top. This setup not only offers ample storage but also provides space for displaying art and other treasures that the girls create at the craft tables as they grow.

Reading Nook

The reading nook turned out to be so pretty! Since the girls love reading, we wanted to create a cozy and inviting area for them. They adore sitting on their fluffy chairs inside the pink canopy or lounging on the soft carpet while flipping through their favorite books. The canopy and its flower details definitely give off a princess feel, and I love that the chairs are personalized with their names!

Scalloped Bookcases

To accompany the reading nook, we had to have bookcases for the girls!  We made them even more functional by adding baskets to some of the shelves. And how adorable is the wallpaper?! It was designed by a talented friend who lives in Athens! I love that it adds a dainty and girly touch that the girls won’t outgrow. It’s the perfect accent for this room!

Wallpaper is from @tulipmagnolia, and it’s called Dusty Rose Poppies.

Kitchen Set

I adore this kitchen set, and it’s a huge hit with the girls! They love playing chef with the stove and oven while serving their baby dolls. The set’s scalloped edges match the rest of the room’s furniture, creating a cohesive look. The shelves above the kitchen set provide extra storage and maintain the room’s design! It’s a perfect area for them to use their imagination!

Entertainment Area

In front of the sofa, we included a dresser with scalloped detailing and gold knobs, which beautifully coordinates with the bookcases, kitchen set, and shelving. It’s perfect for storing additional items and adds a feminine touch. This area is ideal for the girls to watch movies or listen to music while they play! The neutral-patterned rug from Pottery Barn ties the whole room together and complements the wallpaper and furniture perfectly!

Sofa is Oatmeal Performance Boucle fabric.

I am completely overjoyed with how this playroom has come together! Collaborating with Pottery Barn Kids and their designers was instrumental in bringing our vision to life. The girls are thrilled with their new space, and I’m excited to see how it will evolve as they continue to grow. The playroom is not only functional but also full of charm and creativity, making it a space they’ll cherish for years to come.
