New Home Reveal: Transitional, Cozy, Neutral

8 May |

We are finally in our dream home and we could not be more excited. This has been over two years in the making and our visions have turned into a reality! I wanted to compile a list of everything so you all can shop and gather inspiration for your own home.

Kitchen

Our kitchen is where contemporary flair meets timeless elegance. The centerpiece is the sleek Taj Mahal waterfall countertop adding a modern feel, while the cabinetry provides the warmth and charm of the space, creating an ideal setting for cooking and socializing. Of all the rooms in our home, the kitchen had the biggest facelift and I could not be more excited with the way it turned out. I look forward to hosting our family and friends here for years to come!

Living Room

Our transitional style living room combines modern and traditional elements for a timeless yet updated look. Clean lines, neutral colors, and a mix of textures create a comfortable space that feels both classic and fresh. We added a large area rug to bring warmth in this room. It is a custom size from Bellbridge. We had these couches in our previous home and loved them so much that we wanted to incorporate them in our new space! The color and material of the couches are: Performance Heathered Tweed in Indigo.

Breakfast Room

The breakfast area is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in the house. The wooden table along with the cozy bench creates an inviting space for relaxed morning gatherings with our family to start the day together! The floating shelves are 3 inches thick and perfect for showcasing our favorite pieces.

Dining Room

We chose to go with Benjamin Moore Puritan Gray for the wainscoting in the dining room. Modern elegance meets timeless charm! The wallpaper in this room is one of my favorites, it’s neutral enough to pull in other colors with decor. I can picture hosting many dinners in this space! The table is a custom build by Saha Design.

Keeping Room

The keeping room is one of the first rooms you see when entering our home! It offers a cozy and intimate space separate from the main living areas, perfect for relaxation and informal gatherings. The wallpaper on the ceiling creates a stunning focal point and is one of my favorite features! The walls, painted in Sherwin Williams Iron Ore, offer a contrast grounding the space with a modern edge, while maintaining a welcoming ambiance.

Mudroom

This is another one of my favorite spots in the house. We went with exposed brick flooring to add a touch of rugged elegance, adding texture and character while offering durability for daily use. We wanted a lot of storage space in this room for shoes, jackets, and the girl’s book bags. Holes were added in the cabinet doors to provide breathability – they literally thought of everything! We went with Benjamin Moore Puritan Gray as the cabinet color and I love how warm and inviting it makes the space feel.

Laundry Room

Step into my laundry room! Doing laundry is not my favorite chore but in this space, I think I can manage. We wanted this space to have tons of natural light, plenty of storage space, and to enhance our workflow and elevate the daily routine of doing laundry. The wallpaper is simple but vibrant and pairs perfectly with the cabinet color in this area. We continued the Mudroom flooring into this room and added a sweet food and water area for our girl, Birdie. Doing laundry has truly never felt so luxurious!

Bedroom

For our bedroom, we chose neutral tones create a serene atmosphere. It is truly so peaceful in this room. The custom built-ins were done by our friends Hillary and Matt Hutcheson from Hutcheson Design + Co. and I love the character and charm it adds to the space. We decided to add a wallpaper accent behind the TV and I could not be happier with the way it turned out. The wallpaper is from the company Tulip Magnolia Art + Design and they are local to Athens, GA!

Primary Bathroom

My oasis. Our bathroom features an arched shower and free standing tub. We wanted tons of natural light while blending modern and classic styles in this space. One of my favorite features in this room are the marble floors. You can find me here with a glass of wine, some good music and a bubble bath any night of the week.

Screened-in Porch

In our previous home, we closed in our screened-in porch to make a playroom for the girls, so I am excited to finally have one again. We have been spending the majority of our evenings out here, and I cannot wait to build fires in the fireplace this fall. I love the dutch door because it allows us to have an indoor/outdoor feel.

We had the absolute honor and pleasure of working with the amazing people at Truth and Co. Interior Design and Schmidt & Satterfield Construction. They listened and completed every vision I had and it’s like all of the ideas in my head over the last three years are now in my home and a part of our life! I am forever grateful and honored to experience this with my family. I will be sharing more over on Instagram as we continue settling into our forever home!

  1. I love this kitchen reveal! Especially the color of those cabinets. I’m planning on getting a brand new cabinet painting soon, but I haven’t known which color to go with. I think this answers that question. Thank you so much!
