Be sure to follow along on Instagram stories for recent try ons and style tips for fall inspiration, all month long.

No. 10: SMOCKED WAIST MIDI SKIRT

You Most Loved Items from August

This Target skirt was an instant yes for me. It runs true to size and has a great amount of stretch to it. I love that you can dress is up with heels and wear it to work or pair sneakers and a graphic tee for the weekends. This would also be a great option if you are expecting. Simply pull the waist band over your bump and you’re good to go!

No. 9: BALLOON 3/4 SLEEVE GAUZE BLOUSE

Casual work wear look

I’ve been loving this gauze material in just about anything. It’s super light weight and soft, making it the perfect summer to fall transitional piece. I paired it here with these wide leg Spanx cropped flare pants and flats for a teacher work wear look. You can never go wrong with a basic like this in your closet. It’s timeless and can easily be styled a number of ways!

No. 8: ANKLE BOOTIES

Fall booties under $40

These might just be the Target find of the season! I love the dotted detail and the slight heel makes them feel slightly elevated, while still being comfortable. Not to mention, they are less than $40. I know it’s still very warm outside, but cooler temps are on their way, so go ahead and grab these while they’re still stocked! Pair with your favorite skirt or dress now for an early fall look.

No. 7: QUARTER ZIP SWEATSHIRT

athliesure look, matching set

I love a good matching set! This was one I created myself with a sweatshirt from Target and pull on shorts from Aerie! The neutral colors make it easy to add a fun printed sneaker. If you have a trip planned in the near future, and need a good travel day look, I highly recommend both of these pieces.

No. 6: LEOPARD SNEAKERS

leopard sneakers, white sneakers

I was so excited to see that Target brought back our favorite leopard sneakers in an updated version this fall. You all went nuts over last year’s version, rightfully so! These are super comfortable and run true to size. If you want to see how I go about knotting my laces, check out THIS TUTORIAL!

No. 5: PEPLUM TANK TOP

You Most Loved Items from August, work wear look

This look came from our biggest blog post last month, full of 30+ teacher looks! I love that this top is classic, with a touch of trendy. You can wear on it’s own now, then later in the season layer a cardigan or blazer over the top.

No. 4: TRAIN KNIT DRESS

You Most Loved Items from August, white dress

There are two dresses every woman should have in her closet, a little white dress and a little black dress. Luckily, this one comes in both those colors! I love that you can throw this on with sandals and run out the door, while still looking put together. To see the black version styled, check out this post.

No. 3: HIGH-RISE FLARE CROPPED PANTS

You Most Loved Items from August, work wear look

If you’re on the hunt for a pair of classic black pants with a twist, I highly recommend these! The cropped flare cut is not only flattering, but adds a little variety to your work wardrobe. You can easily dress them up with a blazer and heels, or go for a business casual look with a peplum top and flats.

No. 2: OPEN-FRONT CARDIGAN

fall preview look

I have last year’s version of this cardigan and I have to say, this one trumps it! I love the ultra soft fabric and the dropped shoulder gives it a more lived in feel. Pair it with a bodysuit and your favorite jeans for a casual fall look.

No. 1: HIGH-RISE SKINNY ANKLE PANTS

classic work wear look with black pants

It came as no surprise to me that these are your number one most loved item from August! They are truly the best classic black work pants. Whether you are a teacher needing to get down on the ground and read to your students, or sitting at a desk typing away, these are the pants for you. Not only are they super stretchy, but they hold their shape great. I would recommend sizing up one from your normal size.
