Work Wear Wednesday – Scalloped Pants

It’s Work Wear Wednesday today and I’m excited to share the cutest scalloped pants with you. Scalloped anything is very on trend right now. I’m sure a majority of the scalloped styles you see are more casual and not great for the workplace. Well, I’ve got you covered! Adding a pair of classic black pencil pants to your wardrobe is a must. I’ve thought about putting together a capsule wardrobe blog post. If I did, I certainly would add black pants to the mix. They are flattering on everyone and they are perfect for the workplace. These pants from J.Crew Factory have a little flare to them with the scalloped hem. They are still classic but can be worn throughout the spring because of the scalloped detail.

As for sizing, I suggest sizing up one size in these pants. I usually wear a 00 in shorts and pants at J.Crew Factory. I tried on the 00 and they were way too tight! The 0 was much more comfortable.

Today I’ve paired the pants with a flowy bell-sleeve, peplum blouse. This style of blouse is one of my favorites for the workplace! They are great to wear to work but then can be dress down with jeans for the weekend. I love the water color, floral print of this top! It’s available in a few other color options and does run true to size. I’m wearing a XS.

I’m sharing this look paired with flats and with heels today! I prefer heels with my work looks but I get a lot of requests for flats. I highly recommend both pairs of shoes in these photos. The heels are a closet staple for me. They are under $30 and run true to size. Next we have the sweetest blush bow flats. These are great to pair with pants, shorts and dresses. I suggest going up a half size for the best fit.
