If you’re anything like me, then you love gathering around a table to have a meal with friends or family. One of my favorite things to do when I’m having company over is to create a beautiful tablescape. This can make all the difference in the feeling of a room and sets the tone for the meal. I recently stocked up on a few tablescape essentials for fall entertaining that are too pretty to keep to myself. Anytime I’m looking to give the dining room a refresh I always look at Anthropologie first! They have some of the most beautiful and unique pieces that you’ll have for years to come.

Anytime I go to create a beautiful tablescape, I always start with a pretty table runner. This floral one is great for fall, but due to it’s neutral color palette, you can use it all year long! I love finding pieces that are versatile like that.
I then move on to layering a charger, like this gold one from Anthropologie, under my plates. I usually opt for white or cream plates because I can easily switch out things like napkins for the season and they will still much. Plus, food always looks best plated on a solid background. If you’re wanting a fun pop, I recommend adding in a printed napkin or small plates or bowls with designs to them.

From there, layer in votives and tall candles. Having a mixture of height add interest to the table. You want to put these in the center of the table and alternate between heights. You can also add things like small pumpkins to make your table even more festive! Then I will finish off the look with glasses, serving boards, dishes and other other seasonal decor!
