Power Pieces for Work – Work Wear Wednesday

Today’s work wear look is a little different from what I normally share for work wear. Every now and then I like to share more bold options for those of you willing to step outside your comfort zone. When I was working in the corporate world, outfits like this gave me a confidence that not every outfit can give. I worked in sales so standing out and making yourself memorable was a must. Wearing a bold pant with an oversized coat and belt is definitely memorable!

I’m partnering with Ann Taylor to bring you today’s look. Ann Taylor is the perfect place to shop for work outfits, especially if you are looking for something to play up your inner #girlboss.

Both of these pieces can be worn separately so you get a good bang for your buck. If you are looking for a good wide leg pant, I promise you will love this pair. They are so flattering and pair nicely with blouse, sweaters and camis. I’m wearing a 0 regular and would say they run true to size!

The tweed blazer is GOOD! It’s a longer jacket so you can easily layer it over a dress. I also think it will look great with all white and a nude pump. I’ll share a few other ways to style it. It’s an investment piece at it’s current price but thankfully Ann Taylor runs sales regularly so you can snag it next time it’s discounted! It’s a little oversized so size down one for the best fit. I’m wearing XS but think the XXS would have been best.

I’d love to know your thoughts on today’s look. Are you brave enough to wear a look like this for work? Comment below and let me know what kind of work wear you want to see next!

Thank you to Ann Taylor for sponsoring today’s blog post. As always, all opinions are my own.
