I’m so excited to finally share this post with you! We have been dying to redo our outdoor screened-in porch area since we moved in last year. It’s a space we walk through daily but one that never really got any love. I’ve teamed up with The Home Depot to update this space and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
Here are a few before pictures…man what a sight. The furniture we had out there is from our old house but is also from The Home Depot. We purchased the Hampton Bay set for our outdoor area at our old house and it held up amazing in the complete outdoors (we currently have a screened in porch).
We decided to go with the same patio set from The Home Depot. We opted for a lighter color that matches the vibe of our home overall. We had the swivel rocker previously. Chris and I would fight over who got to sit in that seat. So this time, we purchased two for our set! Aside from the rocker, we added a small love seat. These three pieces face the wall where a tv is mounted. We love sitting outside watching movies in the summer.
When we started this project, the first thing I was adamant about was getting a rug for this area. It just seemed so blah before without one, don’t you think? We picked an outdoor option that is size 8×10. It’s the perfect width for this space and the colors match the palette perfectly.
The next piece that was a must have for this project was the curtains along the back screen. The houses in our neighborhood are close together so having a little bit of privacy is important. I truly think we will use this space more because of this addition alone. We went with the 120″ length and they worked perfectly.
To finish up the look, we added a few outdoor lanterns and trees. I love the greenery added to this neutral space. We had a few pillows from other areas of the house that we are using as throw pillows (outdoor, of course). However, The Home Depot has several great outdoor pillow options! We actually purchased new slip covers for the white cushions that came with the furniture. The grey will hide the dirt a little better and matches the rug perfectly.
If you are looking to update your outdoor area for Spring, definitely take a look at what The Home Depot has to offer!
Thank you to The Home Depot for sponsoring today’s blog post. As always, all opinions are my own!
