Our Baby Favorites from Nordstrom + New Products We Can’t Wait to Try!

13 May |

Let’s chat baby products!! When we had Collins, Chris’ mom was working at Nordstrom so she was constantly telling us about the latest and greatest baby products. We loved her recommendations and ended up ordering a lot of our essential baby gear from Nordstrom. I wanted to round up our must haves and share a few items I plan to order for baby no. two! I love hearing your thoughts too so feel free to comment below with your top suggestions!

Uppababy Vista Stroller System

I HIGHLY recommend this system! We went ahead and purchased the second toddler seat so both girls will be able to ride in it. It’s easy to pack up, adapts with the carseat we have and is easy for place travel. I haven’t tried any other strollers so I have nothing else to compare it to at the moment. Regardless, it’s one of our best baby purchases!

Nuna Pipa Lite LX and Rava Carseats

We did a lot of research on what carseat would work best best us and talked with friends that we really trusted and weighs the pros and cons of what they were using. In the end, we decided on the Nuna Pipa Lite LX because of how little it weighs. It’s a good 3 pounds lighter than others on the market and just as safe! We also purchased the Rava carseat for Collins as the next size up and like it just fine. I’m not sure if we will go the same route again because of the price tag, but I’m happy with it for Collins right now.

Dockatot

We used this A LOT! Make sure you save the plastic, zippered case it comes in so you can travel with it. We have packed it in large suitcases and flown with it and would highly recommend if you are someone who travels often. Even if you are just traveling by car somewhere, it’s a great way to make sure it doesn’t get dirty. Collins always hung out in this lounger and occasionally took supervised naps in there as well. Would recommend!

Freshly Picked Diaper Bag

We still use this diaper bag for Collins and love it. I never thought I would be a backpack, diaper bag mom but hands free is a must! There are lots of inside compartments that you can organize the baby’s things in and then plenty of room in the main inside. We will continue using this bag for Collins!

Ez Pz Plates, Spoons and Cups

These have been great for Collins. We started using them when she started solids. They stick to the highchair and are very easy to clean. The spoon is also a great size and helps them learn house to use utensils. And then we are also, slowly, using the cup with water to teach her how to drink out of a cup with no lid. Definitely a fun process!

Nordstrom Baby Onesies and Newborn Clothes

We were gifted a few sets of Nordstrom Baby Onesies and they are SO SOFT!! Would be great to pair with a teether or swaddle set for a baby gift. Nordstrom also has so many cute baby clothes for both boys and girls!

Stroller Organizer

We love this velcro stroller organizer. I don’t think we have ever taken our off. Perfect for water, phone, snacks and anything else you might need on your walk.

Muslin Swaddles

I have several swaddles by brands like Lou Lou Lollipop and Aden and Anais. Both of which you can purchase at Nordstrom. Another great gift idea. They are very soft and wash well!

Excited to Try:

Snuggle Me Organic Baby Lounger – I’ve been eyeing this lounger and really want to give it a try this go around. It seems to be very similar to the dockatot but maybe with a little more support. If you purchase this lounger, I will keep you posted on my thoughts!

Stokke Highchair – We almost bought this highchair for Collins and I often wish that we would have. It’s currently 10% OFF and might be making it’s way into our new house for the girls to use. Stay tuned!

Fawn Designs Diaper Bag – I just received this diaper bag in the mail and I’m excited to try it out! On days that Collins is in daycare, I will need something for baby no. two and wanted to give another brand a shot! This bag is available in several sizes and colors!

Hope this roundup of products helps if you are a soon-to-be parent or family/friend looking for the perfect baby gift. Nordstrom has a great list of baby brands that you can absolutely trust! Plus, buying through Nordstrom guarantees you will have excellent customer service and a great return policy should the item not work.

  1. Do you think the FP backpack would work as a work bag? I think it’s so cute – would love to see a post about using it as one!

    • It definitely could! It has plenty of pockets for all of your items! There is also an inside pocket/area for the changing pad and you could easily slip a laptop in there! Depending on how many things you need to add in the bag for work, it could be too big though! I would definitely check them out and look at all of the photos!

  2. I remember you had a doona. That thing makes so much sense to me in theory and I have it on my list, but I wanted to know what you thought about it practically. I know you can’t really use it past the first year, but to have wheels built in for errands and travel seems especially helpful during that time.

  3. I’m wondering how tall Chris is and if the stroller organizer is a problem for him when he pushes the stroller? I’m hesitant to buy one because of dad’s height
