Maternity Photos with Jessica Jane Photography

We just got our maternity photos back and to say I’m in love is the understatement of the year! My friend, Jessica Jane Photography, has been documenting our pregnancy & she has been amazing! Jessica and I went to college together and I knew before we were pregnant that I wanted to work with her for these photos. Her work is amazing! The details & love for each of her clients shows through in each session she does. Because of the timing of our maternity shoot, I wanted them to be a little more formal than what you might normally see. Plus I love when Chris wears a tuxedo! The last time we have photos of us this fancy was at our wedding. I have plans to hang some of these photographs in our master bedroom above our bed and wanted a look that would stand out from others (we take a lot of photos but not always dressed up so this makes these photos different – aside from the fact that I’m carrying a tiny human inside me).

Chris’s tuxedo is from Nordstrom Rack. He found it on major sale a few weeks ago! I love a good navy tuxedo – he and the groomsmen in our wedding wore navy tuxedos – so seeing him in navy again for these photos means a lot to me!

I decided to go with all sequins. I could wear sequins every single day but I know that’s not acceptable! Being that we are close to the holidays and New Year’s Eve, I figured this would be a fun look that could give you some extra inspiration. My dress was purchased in store at Altar’d State and is sadly sold out online. This option and this option are two similar choices that would work for you to recreate what you see here! I’m also going to share a few similar dresses below that would be beautiful for a maternity photoshoot.

I had my makeup professionally done by my friend Paula! She works at Nordstrom at Perimeter Mall in the makeup department. Her work is unreal!
