Life Update + Leopard Print Blouse

18 September |

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared a life update with y’all. Nothing really crazy is happening but it’s fun to write out Collins’ milestones and share any changes we’ve experienced over the last few months.

______________

Let’s start with Collins. She is seven and a half months now – HOW?? This stage of life with her has been my favorite so far. She is sitting up, eating solids and is almost crawling. She smiles every time someone walks in the room and loves petting and pulling on Birdie. It’s actually amazing how sweet Birdie has been with Collins. She just lets Collins pull all over her like she doesn’t even notice.

I polled y’all about highchairs on my Instagram Stories several weeks ago. A majority of y’all suggested both the IKEA highchair and the Graco 3-in-1 highchair. I went with the Graco because I like the sturdiness and the options for growth. It’s super easy to clean too. Collins is eating a combination of baby food and table food. She is very curious about what we are eating so we give her small bites of what we know is safe for her to have. I’ve really liked giving her eggs and avocado. She also enjoys the Happy Baby Organic pouches. They have been a great place to start transitioning her to more solid foods and new textures.

Collins goes to school (it’s a daycare/preschool that we just call school because they have a curriculum for infants and she is actually learning a ton there) three days per week and then my mom keeps her the other two days. Both Chris and I work full time and we have really enjoyed her school set up and of course appreciate my mom’s help! Growing up, we always lived far away from my grandparents so my mom wanted to make sure she was close by when we start having kids. I love their relationship and know they will always be close.

I wanted to link back to a recent blog post that I did on my favorite baby items thus far. I partnered with Walmart last month to share the things we use most and I think y’all will love this post as a resource! Another post I get a lot of questions about is the details in Collins’ nursery. I’ll link that one HERE for you to browse as well! We are working on getting her a playroom set up so more info on that will come soon!

Many of you know that I run Loverly Grey as my full time job. It’s so much fun but it’s also so much work! The amount of behind the scenes input, conversations and work that goes on each day can sometimes be overwhelming. My right hand woman, Anna, recently moved to NYC so I have been adjusting without her over the last 6 weeks. Of course, I miss her like crazy, but I’m excited for her and her husband to follow their own dreams.

I have hired TWO new assistants who help me run Loverly Grey locally. As they get on boarded and adjusted to their new roles, I’m sure you will see them around more often!

I am working on a few new projects that I can’t wait to share with you in the coming months. One is a product collaboration that I know y’all will love! Just in time for the holidays too. We’ve been working really hard on the design aspect to make sure everything is perfect. Hopefully I will be be able to announce the launch date soon!

As far as upcoming content goes, we are working on a Fall Work Wear Post, a Denim Guide and I will try my best to put together outfits for Family Photos. If there is something else you want to see, please leave me a note in the comments!

I just want each and every one of you to know how much your constant love and support means to me. You make the choice each day, week and month to follow along with me and it means more to me than you will ever know. Because of YOU, I am able to follow me dreams and do something that I LOVE every single day. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!

Today’s outfit is a fun one! I recently found this leopard print top at JCPenney. I dressed it up with a pleated midi skirt and heels. The top is great for work and has the option of a matching skirt. I’m wearing XS in the top and skirt and say both are true to size.

  1. Hi cutie!! I would love to see some bridal options. Dresses or outfits for bridal showers or rehearsal dinner for the bride to wear. White is hard to find right now since it’s technically going out of season!

  2. I love everything you post! I’m so excited about family photo outfits. Would love to see suggestions for Mom, Dad and two toddler boys. Thanks!

  3. Would like some suggestions for outfits for work holiday parties! Also for work appropriate outfits that also look holiday-ish. Christmas time is the best time and I love to look in the holiday spirit even if I have to dress professionally!

  4. I found it and hoping I will now get updates from you blog without having to search. Love tuning in and learning style and life tricks?

  5. I am HERE for the fall work wear post. Yes, yes, yes! And just wanted to leave some love, you’re such a boss and I love following along. ?

  6. I need some outfit ideas for around the house and still look nice if I need to run somewhere or someone stop by (like favorite black leggings and cute tops) something simple and comfy for playing with kids but still stylist so I feel good. Jeans aren’t always comfy so just other ideas 🙂 Mother of 6 needs help to look cute – lol!! ?

  7. Obsessed with everything you post! Thank you for all the hard work you put in to provide quality pieces and life updates. I also LOVE the family photo outfits idea! Can’t wait to read it. Thanks again!

  8. Hi! First of all I love your blog and I love the pictures you take of my city ( NYC) when you visit. I hope I’m not to late in the season. I was hoping you could do a review on cool, stylish boots for the fall. Thank you!
