Atlanta Food Guide

26 February |

I wanted to share some of my favorite food places in and around Atlanta! I use the term “Atlanta” lightly because of course I had to share my favorites from my hometown of Athens as well! If you’re ever going to Athens for the weekend or for a game (GO DAWGS!), I’ll include some spots you won’t want to miss! I grew up in Athens and after college moved to Brookhaven (close to Midtown). When Chris and I got married our first house was in Roswell and from there we moved to Alpharetta. Because I lived in all of these places, I’ll mostly hit those spots because it’s what I know best! Here we go!

Athens:

Midtown/Westside:

Buckhead:

Roswell:

Alpharetta:

Atlanta has an amazing food scene and I know I haven’t nearly hit all of the spots! If you have a favorite you think should be added to the list leave It below!

  1. Del frisco’s grille (cheeesteak eggrolls!) – buckhead

BB’s bagels – Alpharetta… if you’re from the northeast and struggle to find a good bagel/breakfast place, you need to try BB’s!

    Salt – Alpharetta

    And last but not least..
Chick Fil A at Avalon ?

  2. You need to go check out Seed kitchen and Bar, Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar and Stem Wine Bar All east Cobb area highly rated … Enjoy!

  3. When I lived in Atlanta our favorite place was Bone Garden Cantina which is around the Westside. It’s amazing Mexican food, awesome atmosphere and drinks! We are coming to visit in a few weeks and can’t wait to eat there again.
    Also love Takorea in midtown
For a fancier date night place check out La Grotta in buckhead.

  4. Awesome! Thanks! We live in Savannah and love to come into Atl and try new places. One we love is called Rumi’s kitchen. One in Sandy Springs and one in Buckhead. Best watermelon salad I’ve ever had! Hope you get to try it. 🙂

  5. Eclipse di luna at south buckhead! Spanish themed and turns into a salsa dancing club 2 Saturday’s each month! So fun!

  6. This is so great! May not be considered your favorites, but a few Athens classics…The Grill, Taco Stand, Cali N Tito’s, Marti’s at Midday…I would also definitely add Marcel to the Westside list!

  7. If you like Greek food, Athens Greek Restaurant in Roswell on Alpharetta Hwy is great for a casual lunch. It’s family-owned, and the gyros are awesome!

  8. Girl u have to try https://www.zuzzuroswell.com/
Their meatballs are AMAZING!! pizza is great too! It’s hidden off oak street and since it’s so small u have to make a reservation. Its not fancy, just small! You won’t regret going, and it’s Collins friendly too❤️

  9. Hey Brittany! Congratulations on Collins’ arrival! I never usually comment on your blog posts, but one thing I am definitely passionate about is delicious restaurants haha. When I lived in Atlanta my favorites (and IMO must-trys) were Wisteria in Inman Park, South City Kitchen in Midtown, Antico pizza, Agave, Highland Bakery (the pb stuff french toast!), and Thai Loft, among others which include many of your suggestions (Two Urban Licks, Yeah! Burger, Flying Biscuit, etc.). Thanks so much for sharing!

  10. This is great! Do you mind sharing your favorite spots for to do things? Trying to take a weekend trip out there sigh hubby! He hates shopping, so if you have any activities or to do things recommendations that would be amazing!!!

  11. Poor Calvin’s in Atlanta was seriously one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The group I was with and myself are still talking about it, the lobster fried rice omg!!

  12. Can’t wait to try some of these or all of them. ? We are thinking of relocating to Alpharetta this year and can’t wait to visit there in March. Thank you for sharing!
