I’m partnering with Walmart today to share some of my favorite baby products that we used with Collins in her first year. I honestly can’t believe we almost have one year of parenting under our belts. Collins will be one on Tuesday and I think I’m still in shock with how quickly it flew by.

Walmart carries some of our most used products that we use for Collins. I’m not an expert but I’m happy to share what has worked for us in this last year! I’ll share some of our tried and true products along with other items we’ve recently gotten. My parents gave Collins this play kitchen for Christmas and she has loved it! So many of y’all have messaged saying you also have and love it! It’s kind of pain to put together (so I heard from my parents) but it’s very sturdy and long lasting once it’s done!

She’s loving anything that makes sounds or can be banged together to create music. We have loved the VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker and the VTech Musical Rhymes book. Both are fun and interactive. You can grab them both at Walmart with Free 2-day shipping!

OUR FAVORITES:

Chicco NextFit Convertible Carseat – This was a recommendation from a friend who has it and it’s been a great purchase. We also have the Nuna Rava in Chris’s car but I think I like the Chicco best. The price is great and it will grow with her over the next few years.

Owlet Baby Monitor – Another baby product that we couldn’t live without. our nephew had severe breathing issues and was on oxygen for the first 18 months of his life. A few times they rushed him to the hospital because he wasn’t breathing. We weren’t sure if this would be passed to Collins so we started using the Owlet Monitor pretty much as soon as we brought her home from the hospital! To say we had peace of mind at night would be a huge understatement. We never had issues with false alarms or it randomly going off but I know some who have. Regardless, I would tell anyone to give this a monitor a shot. Can’t recommend it enough!

Earth Mama Nipple Cream – This nipple cream saved my life when I was nursing. I love that it’s organic too!

Chicco FastAsleep Go – Our FAVORITE pack ‘n play! We tried a few before we got this one and didn’t love the other options because they didn’t lay flat on the floor. I have a full blog post all about my love for this travel bed HERE.

Pampers Pure Wipes – These have been the wipes that we have used and love most with Collins. Very gentle and great for sensitive skin.

Bottle Drying Grass – I was for sure that I wouldn’t let this ugly mat sit on my counter but boy was I wrong. The convenience is just too great. Go ahead and add this to your cart, you’ll need it!

Boppy Pillow – This was great to use in the first months of breastfeeding. This pillow is easy to set around your belly and lay your baby on top of to nurse. Very comfy and comes in lots of colors.

Nose Frida – I thought this was gross at first but it’s amazing how often we used this when her little nose was stuffed up. Definitely a baby product I couldn’t live without!

VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker – This was a Christmas gift from Santa and one that she has loved playing with! It sings and plays music so she can sit with it and be entertained but it also is a walker so it goes with her. Great for her age range!

Aquaphor – Go ahead and stock up on this! We use it for everything! Diaper rash, chapped cheeks, irritated skin. Aquaphor is always on deck!

Baby Brezza Formula Pro – I couldn’t live without this machine. We breastfed Collins exclusively for the first 6 months then when my milk dried up, we switched to formula. This was recommended to us by a friend and it was truly a godsend. Of course it’s easy enough to make a bottle and warm it up but why not press one button and have it done for you! Definitely think this is a must have if you plan to formula feed!

Graco Highchair – We have LOVED this highchair. It’s very functional and can be raised or lowered depending on your counter or table height. You can also take off the bottom and set the chair part on a chair at your table.

SwaddleMe Swaddles – These were our favorite swaddles. They were the only ones that she really stayed in and didn’t wiggle out of. They are easy to wash and come in several different sizes!

Hatch Scale – This was great to weigh her between doctor’s appointments. Would be great to use if you want to do weighed feedings.

Play Kitchen – We received this as a Christmas present and she has been loving it. Highly recommend!

I hope this list has been helpful! There are so many baby products on the market and I’m sure they are all amazing. This is just a round-up of what we use most often!

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all opinions are my own! Photos by Naomi Hopkins Photography.

  1. Thanks so much for putting this together! Question about the car seat – it says for infants to toddler and then I read it is minimum 12 pounds…so probably best not for newborn? Trying to get a second carseat for my husband and this seems like a great option, but that would be mean baby couldn’t ride in his car until 12 pounds?

    • Yes, you are correct! We transitioned to this one around 8 months! I have friends that also used the Chicco Keyfit and loved it! We had a different one as a newborn/baby before this one!!
