Must Have Sweater Dresses for Fall

SWEATER DRESS | COAT | BOOTS

I just got back from Asheville, NC and the combination of the crisp air and gorgeous views has me more excited than ever for fall. I was finally able to break out all my favorite fall pieces on my trip. As you can probably tell, sweater dresses are a reoccurring staple in my closet. This fall, I’m already reaching for sweater dresses yet again! Can we talk about this ribbed funnel neck sweater dress in particular? It’s not only comfortable, but it’s also flattering. I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to show you why this one is a must have sweater dress this fall.

I always reach for sweater dresses in the fall because they’re extremely versatile. You can easily dress them up and down, and they’re great for varying temperatures! I paired them with knee high boots for a classic monochromatic look. You can wear this sweater dress for date night, or even for a night out with friends.

Sweater dresses are also great for work. I recommend pairing this one with a blazer and flats for a more professional look. See more ways I’ve styled a sweater dress with a blazer, here.

One of the best shoe investments for the fall season is knee high boots. Knee high boots are a closet staple. They pair well with a sweater dress, and as the weather gets cooler, I find myself styling them with jeans and leggings. I’m loving the pointed toe look this year! Are you on the hunt for knee high boots? I’ve rounded up more options that I’m loving here.

Have you tried the monochromatic look yet? Fall is the perfect time to give it a try! The cooler weather has us all grabbing for more layers. I find that it’s easy to layer neutrals and mix textures for a chic, elevated look. If you’re into darker neutrals, this dress also comes in black. I can see myself opting for the black version to pair with heels and a longline cardigan for a workwear look.

If you’re on the hunt for new pieces to level up your fall wardrobe, Nordstrom has you covered! I love shopping at Nordstrom because they always have a good variety of brands with a range of price points.

  1. What type of undergarment do you wear with this. I hate for my panty lines to show but also don’t want it going up my bottom with a thong? Tired Spatz type of compression shorts but showed my panty lines? What do you suggest?
