Now that it’s officially fall, it’s time to break out all things plaid! We are seeing this as a major trend this year. One of my favorite ways to incorporate this trend is in statement pieces like a blazer. In today’s post, I’m showing you how to style a plaid blazer for fall. I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to bring you a classic fall look that can easily go from work to weekend.

A blazer is a wardrobe staple that will truly never go out of style. You’ll notice that the silhouette will vary from season to season, but the piece itself has stood the test of time. I recently picked up this school girl inspired blazer by Treasure and Bond at Nordstrom. I love how the patch pockets and the oversized fit add relaxed vibes to a two-button blazer patterned in classic plaid.

As I mentioned, plaid is making a huge comeback this season! You’ll see this pattern take many forms, from dresses to skirts and even blazers. I personally love the idea of incorporating a modern trend in a fun way, like a blazer. I styled it here with a sweater dress and booties. Another way to style it is to layer it over a bodysuit and pair it with straight leg jeans and mules for a casual fall look.

A sweater dress is another fall wardrobe staple. This $39 Steve Madden mock neck sweater dress from Nordstrom is my new favorite! It features a sleek slit on both sides of the hemline and a looser fit. Wear this on its own with suede boots or layer a blazer over the top for a business casual look.

Your fall look isn’t complete without the perfect shoe. I recommend investing in a great pair of suede boots or booties for the cooler months ahead. This is an easy way to instantly elevate a look and get that fall feeling we are all after. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites from Nordstrom below!
