Work Wardrobe for Fall + Winter

This week’s Work Wear Wednesday is all about transitioning your work wardrobe for fall and winter, starting with this corduroy dress! When thinking about transitioning your wardrobe into fall and winter, I always recommend moving towards a darker color pallet. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean your only option is all black. Try tying in deeper greens or a pretty plum color like this dress for a look that screams fall!

I thought this Target dress was such a fun take on corduroy. I love the shift style dresses for maximum comfort and the puff sleeve gives it a more feminine look. I just couldn’t resist it! To my pleasant surprise this dress even comes with pockets, which means it automatically gets five stars in my world! To give this dress a fun pop I added a leopard heel and an oversized neutral tote bag to round out the look. I’m wearing an XS in this dress and it fits true to size! If you’re looking for a few more dress options I’ve rounded up a few more of my Target favorites below!

When thinking about your work wardrobe for fall and winter I suggest going with classic pieces and mixing in different textures to give your look a wintery feel. You can pair a silky midi skirt with a chunky sweater or a trouser pant with a thin turtle neck tucked in. Another option would be layering a sweater over one of the dresses above. I also love pairing a plaid blazer with my favorite black Spanx pants for a more a professional look. I’ve rounded up a ton of my favorites from Target (they have a great selection of affordable work wear) below!
