Garmin Watch Review – Vivomove HR

13 February |

I have finally jumped on the smartwatch train! It’s been a long time coming but I honestly couldn’t ever find a smartwatch that was chic and still smart. I personally love a classic chronograph style watch and never liked the idea of something all digital. I also didn’t want all the functions that some other watches come with.

So here’s the back story. I knew that once Collins was born, I would want to be a little more active and make sure that I was getting in the proper amount of exercise (once my doctor cleared me to do so). I previously took barre classes and walked a few miles 3-4 times per week. I wanted something to track my steps while still being functional and pretty, regardless of what my new workout routine might be. I had tried other more athletic style fitness watches and ended up never wearing them because I didn’t want to change into a watch only to workout. Plus that meant it was tracking my activity throughout the day.

Insert the Garmin Vivomove HR. To start, it’s beautiful! You wouldn’t even know it’s a fitness tracking/smart watch unless you are close up. It has a digital screen that gives you options to track your steps, your burned calories and your stress level. It can tell you the current weather, time and date. You can also enable the watch to alert you when you get a text or email! This was just enough notifications for me. I am glued to my phone all day, I didn’t want a watch to over alert me if it didn’t have to.

You can also customize all the settings in the app that you download to your phone. Once you activate your watch to the app, you can easily view all the stats that the watch has to offer. It’s really easy to look at your day and see how many steps you took, your average heart rate and how many calories you burned.

Because this is my first smartwatch, I don’t have anything else to compare it to. The thing that stands out to me the most and the sole reason I chose this watch over other smartwatches is because of the way it looks. As you can see in the photos, it’s a watch that pairs nicely with a casual outfit as well as a workout look. I won’t have to switch out my watch between outfit changes day to day.

Since wearing the watch over the last month, I’ve really enjoyed it’s sleekness alongside its functionality and user friendliness. I would 100% recommend it over and over. Lucky for y’all because Garmin is offering $30 the Vivomove HR between now and February 16th. They have several colors to choose from so there is something for everyone!

Hope you love this watch as much as I do! Today’s post is sponsored by Garmin. As always, all opinions are my own!

  1. Do you have to carry your phone around with you in order for it to work or could you leave your phone at home and go for a walk?

  2. Seriously considering this watch. Was waiting for your review. Can you read an entire text message on the watch? Or how much can you see? Is the screen touchscreen? How do you interact with the watch when you receive notifications??
