An Easy Way To Give Back – Habitat For Humanity

I’m so excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity for their #HomeIsTheKey campaign. I recently went to the home dedication for the #HomeIsTheKey Habitat House that was completed in Atlanta. It was such a special time to see the new owner, Krushetta and her family take the keys to their new house. The excitement and joy in her voice as she gave a speech thanking her Habitat Family had everyone’s eyes a little dusty.

I think it’s so important to give back to your community when you can. I love what Habitat for Humanity stands for and think everyone should have the opportunity to own a home.

Habitat for Humanity has partnered with several amazing brands to get the message out to everyone that #HomeIsTheKey. Habitat believes that home is the foundation of our lives and it should provide an atmosphere of contentment and calm for individuals to thrive. Sadly, this is not the case for all families throughout America. However, with campaigns like #HomeIsTheKey, everyone can get one step closer to having a place to call home.

So how does this relate to you and me. Well as you know, I’ve been partnering with Soma Intimates over the last six months. As a new mom, having a home and raising Collins in a home where she is loved and care for is really important to me. As I was listening to Krushetta’s speech and hearing how she wanted to be able to provide a safe home for her boys made me realize the importance of giving back to allow others this opportunity.
