Your Summer Shorts Guide with LOFT

Have you started looking for shorts for summer yet? If your answer is no (or if it’s yes) don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! I’m partnering with LOFT today to share several of my favorite shorts for summer! As you know, LOFT is my go store to when shopping for summer must haves. Speaking of weekend getaways, do you have big plans for Memorial Day Weekend? We usually spend the long week at our family’s lake house. All of the neighbors around us get together with their families and we have a huge pancake breakfast on Memorial Day to kick off summer! It’s one of my favorite memories from growing up and I’m so excited to continue the tradition this year.

Stocking up on shorts and casual tops is a must before Memorial Day Weekend. Yes, we will spend our fair share of time in the lake so bathing suits will be a must but the rest of the time you will find me in shorts and tank tops! Thankfully LOFT has tons of great options for both shorts & casual tops right now. Trust me, you won’t want to miss them!

I highly suggest stocking up on their denim shorts first. Denim shorts are a summer staple and can be worn with lots of different tops giving you several outfit options. I’ve been crushing on the LOFT eyelet cuff denim shorts lately (do you remember them from my recent try on session?). In my opinion, every closet needs a good pair of white denim shorts. The eyelet detail on this option is seriously so cute! I’ve paired them with a floral cami that I will have no problem repeating all summer long!

For sizing on the denim shorts, really for all shorts at LOFT, I suggest going down one size. I’ve tried on several pairs of shorts at LOFT recently and have found this true in every pair I’ve tried. I’m wearing a size 24 in this eyelet option and love the fit. They do stretch some during the wear but they won’t over do it. As for sizing for the cami, I would say to size down one size. I ordered both XS (my normal size) and XXS to see which would fit best and ended up keeping the XXS.
