I have been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for years and have learned a few tips and tricks that I’m excited to share with you! Before we dive into all the details about the sale, I want to take this time to remind you that you don’t need everything that will be shared during this sale. I will be sharing a variety of items to help inspire you and show you how versatile a single piece can be. My hope is to be a resource for you, so that you can feel confident in the pieces that you decide to invest in. I have items that I’ve picked up in past year’s sales that I wear season after season. Below you’ll find all my tips and tricks for how to shop smart and build the perfect fall wardrobe!
What Is The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the only sale that allows you to shop new arrivals for the upcoming season at a discounted price. The sale is tiered to allow those that spend the most with Nordstrom throughout the year to shop first. This is their way of saying thank you to their valued customers and to make sure that customers don’t flood the site and break it. To see what tier you are click here.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dates
The preview lookbook is live! This is a sneak peek at the items that are going to be a part of the sale. I recommend creating a free account with Nordstrom, so you can save items that you love to your wishlist. This makes the checkout process during the sale quick and easy. I’ve made the mistake of not doing this in the past and items that were in my cart would sell out while I was browsing.
July 3: The digital catalog is LIVE! You will be able to preview everything online that will be part of the Anniversary Sale.
July 11: Early Access for Icon Status Nordstrom Cardholders
July 12: Early Access for Ambassador Status Nordstrom Cardholders
July 13: Early Access for Influencer Status Nordstrom Cardholders: If you have a Nordstrom Card, you can shop during this time! This is the ideal time to shop. Tons of items sell out during this time frame and not everything restocks unless there is a return somewhere in the system. If you don’t already have a Nordstrom Credit Card, you can sign up here!
July 17: Nordstrom Sale open to the public!
If you’re still unsure about when you can shop, visit this page and log into your account. Once you’re logged in, it will show your cardholder status on the yellow banner.
August 6: Last day to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great time to stock up on essentials for fall! It’s the only time that items are marked down before the season starts.
My recommendation is to take inventory of your closet. Is it time to replace those worn-out jeans? Maybe you had your eye on a pair of neutral booties last year but never hit that checkout button.
This is also a great time to clean out your closet and purge! Once you know exactly what you have and what you need, start making your wishlist. I recommend determining your budget and leaving a little wiggle room in case you see something that catches your eye. I’ve included a list of fall essentials that every woman needs in their wardrobe. Tips + Tricks For Shopping the Sale
SHOP FAST! If you see something you like, check out as soon as possible! The best part about Nordstrom is their free shipping. You can make several purchases and not worry about shipping costs. Items won’t stay in your cart long and you don’t want to miss out on getting your favorite styles.
SHOP SMART! There are numerous items on sale. I suggest going in with a list of items that you know you want and purchasing those items first. I usually buy new sneakers, workout clothes, a nice winter coat, denim, and fall shoes. Everything will be brand new and marked down up to 40% OFF! I will be showcasing the best of the best from the sale. No need to search every page of the Nordstrom website. Leave the hard work to me!

The sale is a great time to use your double points day. You want to maximize your points on the day you plan to spend the most so that you can earn notes!
