Now that the purchases have been made, it’s time to style all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale digs. Honestly, this is my favorite part! And it’s know it’s what is most beneficial to you gals. This post will be filed under the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale tab so you can reflect back in a few months when we can actually wear all these fall/winter clothes!
I tried to purchase items that I will style several ways. Too often I find myself buying pieces that I wear once and then it sits in my closet for months. Everything I bought during the sale I wanted to be able to wear it several times and several different ways! One of those pieces is this navy window pane blazer. The blazer is perfect for work or for play. Today I’m going to share a more casual way of wear it then later this week I’ll dress it up for work!
Anyone can wear a blazer. They aren’t just for the workplace. I love wearing blazers to a weekday lunch meeting (with friends or with clients). I also think blazers just polish off your outfit. So if you are looking to step up your casual denim and striped shirt, add a blazer! In all fairness, I came from the corporate world where a blazer was a daily requirement. Now I have a little more freedom with when I wear a blazer but still try to incorporate them into my daily looks.
I also love love love mixing patterns so the combo of striped with the window pane just really makes my heart happy! It’s bold and chic yet just a step above casual – easy for anyone to recreate! This blazer is a relaxed fit which means it runs a little big. I’m wearing a XXS and would suggest sizing down one size for the best fit.
The denim pictured is also part of the Nordstrom Sale and is by Kut from the Kloth. I personally size down one in their denim and am wearing a size 00. My striped tee is $11 and comes in several colors. It’s perfect for layering! And last but not least are my adorable slides. They are from Sole Society and are available for you to shop directly on their website. I love a good pointed toe mule and the grey with ruffles is just up my alley! They are under $100 and fit true to size!!
I would love to know your thoughts on wearing a blazer more casually. Have you ever tried it?
Thanks for stopping by and reading today’s post! Thank you Sole Society for sending the shoes featured today. As always, all opinions are my own.

I love pairing a more professional or feminine jacket with a casual tee or tank and some jeans. I usually pair it with sandals or flats for the daytime and heels for the nighttime. I am typically not a huge fan of the traditional cut on a blazer. The boxiness just doesn’t work for my body type, but I love more feminine blazer-style jackets with softened edges. But I am loving the blue color of the blazer in this post. I love anything navy, so it is super tempting. I love how you have styled it. Feminine meets relaxed.
