The Perfect Wide Leg Yellow Pants

Today on the blog I want to share a pair of wide leg yellow pants that I recently purchased from Express. I’ve been loving unique pants and anything with a high waist or wide leg has been finding it’s way into my closet. The pants I’m sharing today are the perfect mustard yellow color. I’ve been wearing this shade like crazy lately and love how bright and cheery it is!

I’m always on the lookout for pants that can be worn for both work and play. I took a pole on my Instagram yesterday about what style of work clothing you wear the most – business casual or business professional. The majority said that business casual was their office’s policy. With this new information, I plan to be on the hunt for pieces that will fit this vibe but pieces that can also be worn for other events.

The yellow pants from Express might be a stretch for some. I know the color and the style is very bold but thankfully it’s very on trend and best of all, very comfortable! They have a high waist with zipper closure. I’m wearing my normal size and love the fit. Because of where the pants hit on your leg, I think they look best with a heel over a flat or sandal.

As for the top, I think a tighter top or something cropped is what will look best. Today I’m wearing this pants with an off the shoulder striped blouse. This top is not work appropriate but would be great for happy hour or to an event where you can show a little shoulder. Other options paired with these pants would include something with a peplum, a structured button down or a flowy cropped blouse that hits right at the top of the pants. I think these are a great style of pant so I will work on sharing a few other ways to wear them!
