Chris and I are in San Diego for the weekend! We are so excited to be here  to celebrate one of his fraternity brothers as he ties the knot this weekend. This is my first time in San Diego! We have touristy plans to visit the zoo today and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited about it! I’ll be doing a recap of our trip on the blog next week and I can’t wait to share a few details with you!

Before we head out, I want to share the dress I wore to dinner last night. The dress is by Hutch Designs and it’s available for rental at Rent the Runway! Let me start out by saying it’s amazing! The long wrap style with bright colors and patterns have me so excited for summer. We ate dinner at Ironside Fish & Oyster and loved it. We even tried something called Uni which is sea urchin that they dive for locally. It was a unique taste but was very worth the test.

This is the time of year where I am constantly on the hunt for dresses that would be perfect for vacation, outdoor get-togethers, wedding showers and basically anything that you might need a special dress for. I personally love renting dresses for these exact events from Rent the Runway (honestly, this isn’t even sponsored by them)! I’ve been using the service since college and have always had a great experience. Don’t get me wrong, every time hasn’t been 100% perfect. I’ve had my fair share of events that the dress didn’t work out perfectly but RTR always finds a way to make it right.

I’m going into all this details about Rent the Runway because that’s where you can get this dress! It normally retails for over $300, but you can do a four day rental on the dress for only $65. I think this would be a great dress to take on a family beach vacation. You could even rent this for a summer wedding.

As far as sizing, I say it’s true to size. I’m wearing a size XS. The length is long so I would suggest wearing heels. When you rent the dress, you won’t be able to hem it so take that into consideration first. The wrap detail is real and opens up all the way. This is also a great dress for nursing mamas. Depending on how busty you are, you might want to size up one size. I wore this dress with a regular bra and did have to be careful about showing too much cleavage.

All in all, this dress is amazing and I know you will love it! If you want to purchase the dress directly, you can on the Hutch website.
