Wide Leg Pants for Work

Happy almost Friday! I am so ready for the weekend I can hardly stand it. Do you have any fun plans this weekend? I’m going to a baby shower for my best friend on Saturday and then I leave on Sunday for a blogger trip to Nantucket! I’m really excited about this trip because I’ve never been to Nantucket but I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about the island.

Today on the blog, I want to share my new pair of wide leg pants that I just got in the mail. This type of pant has become a favorite of mine as of late. Paired with the right top, this style of pant can be incredibly flattering. The pair I’m sharing today is from LOFT. They are fully lined and lightweight for summer. I think they are perfect for a business casual work environment.

I will warn you that this pair of pants from LOFT runs really big. I’m wearing a 00 and I wish that I had a 00P. I’m not sure why they run so big but my best advice would be to size down at least once size. I know this method doesn’t work for everyone but I would suggest ordering two sizes and then returning the size that doesn’t fit. That way you will get the correct size before they sell out!

Today I’m wearing them with a cropped peplum top. This exact top is sold out from Goodnight Macaroon right now (you can register your email to be notified when it comes back in stock) but this top from J.Crew would work great as well! I think peplum tops or tops that are more form fitting look best with high waisted pants. You don’t want a too much material on the top because it will compete with the material on the bottom.
