The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is LIVE for ICON LEVEL Cardholders! I’m really excited to start shopping and create outfits for y’all – one of the best parts of my job!! I’ve been covering the #NSALE for the last 4 years and always love putting fall looks together and being a resource for you on how to best shop the sale. I do foresee items selling out quickly this year. With COVID I think that Nordstrom bought smaller buys from each brand (my speculation) so I would say if you see something you like, grab it early!

To start, I think it’s smart to make a list of what you absolutely cannot live without. I also suggest you make another list of items that you need to replace and items that you want to invest in for the 2020 Fall/Winter season. Going into this sale prepared is that best way to start shopping.

Below is a list of items that I plan to buy first this year. I like to stock up on pieces that will serve multiple purposes throughout the Fall and Winter. I also look at the booties, running shoes, cardigans/sweaters, jeans and workout clothes first. I also try to think of things I can buy now and gift later, like Barefoot Dreams blankets. They are great for Christmas gifts, so grabbing them on sale is a perfect way to start saving money!

Make sure you are subscribed to my newsletter to start receiving styled looks as early as this week. You can sign up HERE!

Booties – I plan to snag the Steve Madden Kaylah Booties and also have interest in the Vince Camuto Derika Leather Boot.

Faux Leather Leggings – Highly suggest grabbing a pair of Spanx or Commando Faux Leather Leggings. I’ve been wearing Spanx leggings for a few years now and love them. I get my normal workout leggings size and say they are true to size. Last year I bought my first pair of Commando faux leather leggings during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and wore them MORE than my Spanx. They are a little dressier in my opinion and fit really nicely. I wear size small in both.

Hats – I love grabbing a new hat or two during this sale. I have my eyes on the Rachel Parcell Wide Brim Hat and the Brixton Joanna Straw Hat in Honey!

Sweaters – This Topshop cardigan will sell out fast! I love the color and can’t wait to wear it with jeans or layered over a dress. I also have my eyes on this short sleeve Leith Cardigan, this Treasure and Bond Button Cardigan and this Free People Chunky Sweater.

Running ShoesThis is a great time to stock up on sneakers. I bought a pair of Air Maxes last year and still wear them all the time. This year I plan to grab another pair of Air Maxes and the Nike React Flyknits. I always size up a half size in my Nike Running Shoes.

Zella Leggings – The Live In Leggings have become a FAVORITE of mine! I prefer the 7/8 length leggings. If you are pregnant, I highly recommend the maternity option. They were my favorite maternity leggings during both pregnancies. They are available in a few colors and are great for everyday wear or for working out! Wearing a size small, true to size.

Denim – There are tons of denim options for under $60. My favorite pair are the Free People Busted Knee Jeans. I was tempted to buy two pairs because they are that good! I suggest sizing up one size from your normal size as they run a little small. Currently I wear size 27. I’m excited to grab them in black this year!

Barefoot Dreams I bought my first Barefoot Dreams Blanket last year and was OBSESSED! They are 100% worth the hype and are SO SOFT!! This blanket is still pricey but is one that will last FOREVER! It would make a great gift if you want to stock up for the holidays. They have great cardigans and cozy items that you won’t want to miss too!

Coats/Jackets – I usually buy one or two jackets from the Nordstrom Sale that last me the next year or two. I love their blazer options and recommend looking into brands like Patagonia and The North Face. This is another category that makes for great gifts for Christmas.

Beauty – This is a category that I can’t forget about. I am always pleasantly surprised with their selection and tend to stock up on lipstick during this time. Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk liner is a must grab. I also saw that Slip Silk Pillowcases in the two-pack is available. I’ll be ordering the king set for us. My amazing hair dryer is part of the sale this year. It’s the best dryer I’ve ever used and is so worth the price!
