I rarely write Saturday blog posts but with it being July 1st I figured, why not?! July is such an exciting month. We have a ton of things going on: two weddings out of town and a trip to California. July is also a really exciting shopping month because of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (insert praise hands).
Before we get into the details of the sale, I want to share my new shoe obsession! How cute are these little pearl studded sandals by Steve Madden? They are the perfect way to dress up an outfit but are still very subtle. We just made it to the beach and I figured these cutie shoes would be the perfect flats for this weekend.
I paired them with a cotton peplum tshirt and denim cutoffs. My top comes in one other color and runs true to size. It’s also insanely soft. It feels like it’s be washed 100 times and its that perfect old t shirt we all love. It’s a bigger fit but does run true to size (I’m wearing a XS). Next up are my cut offs. I’m kind of picky when it comes to denim shorts. I don’t want them to be too tight or too short and I want the color of denim to be just right. These ones check all the boxes. They run a little big to be honest. I’m wearing a 25 and they are a little roomy on me. I would size down for these. I do think they will fit perfect once I wash them so just keep that in mind if you are drying them too.
Nordstrom has some of the cutest sandals right now! I’ve linked a few of my favorites below. I love options and can you really ever have too many sandals in the summer??
Now…on to the Anniversary Sale!
This is a sale unlike any other! Nordstrom is bringing out new Fall merchandise then discounting it at really good prices. Most retailers bring out their Fall items then discount them after the season, but not this sale! It’s really fun to shop this sale because you get a great preview of what’s to come. You do need to be strategic about how to shop this sale because it can get overwhelming. I remember last year I was so overwhelmed with what I should buy and what I shouldn’t buy. I didn’t have a Nordstrom Credit Card so I had to wait until the regular access opened up, which was fine but I did miss out on a few pieces I had my eyes on. I do have a Nordstrom Card now and will be shopping the sale early. I can’t wait to take you guys with me and pick out all my favorites!
A few pointers for shopping this sale –
Go through your Fall clothes now
Go through your Fall wardrobe and see what items you want to invest in for this year. What items do you NEED? Have you been wanting a leather jacket for a while now? This sale would be the time to buy. I remember stocking up on booties last year because that’s something I always like to buy new each year.
Set a budget for yourself
No one likes budgets….but they are necessary when shopping something so great like this sale! It’s very easy to be online adding items to your cart you think you need only to realize you have a couple thousand dollars worth of sale items in your cart. Some people can drop that kind of money and that’s fine but if you want to play it smart and not overbuy, set a budget just to be safe!
Get a Nordstrom Credit Card
I know not everyone is interested in having store cards. And I only have two store cards which are at the two places I shop the most. You get really great rewards when you shop with your Nordstrom Card and you can pay your balance right away. Plus having one will grant you early access on Thursday, July 12th for this sale! Here is more information on how to apply and all the guidelines behind having one!
Have Fun!!
Don’t let this sale stress you out! It’s a really fun time to see what new Fall items are coming and you do get them at a heavily discounted prices! Grab your girls and shop all your favorites to stock up for Fall. Trust me, there are some good pieces you won’t want to miss!
I will have another few blog posts coming with more details and of course what my picks are for the sale! So make sure you are subscribed to my blog to get all the updates! Thanks for stopping by today!

Valuable info. Lucky me I discovered your web site by chance, and I am stunned why this accident didn’t came about in advance!
I boojmarked it.
Saved as a favorite, I really like your website!
Nordstrom also has just a plain ole debit card for lack of a better name. It takes the money right out of your account like you were using your debit card but by having this you get early sale access.
So I rarely comment on blogs (especially new ones that I follow), but I just had to say, you’re quickly becoming one of my favorites! I’m not a fellow blogger, just a reader that loves to shop! I love your style and that your pieces aren’t over the top (style and budget-wise). I don’t even remember how stumbled across you on Insta, but I’m so glad I did! 😉
