Today on the blog, I’m excited to share some of my favorite workout pieces. I’ll be sharing both maternity and non maternity options so there is something for everyone! I really like buying workout wear from Old Navy, Target, Gap and Nordstrom. I’ve worn a few things from Lululemon and Athleta but always go back to the first four.
Prior to getting pregnant, I did Barre classes and walked a couple miles a few times per week. I decided to just cut out the barre workouts because my doctor suggested low to no intensity in my workouts would help with our infertility journey. Plus giving yourself shots and being on all different types of medicine wasn’t exactly a recipe to make you want to push yourself in the gym.
I would wear a few different pieces of workout gear every week and always stocked up on my favorites when the retailers above would run a sale or added new pieces to the clearance section. If I had to tell you which items I preferred from each retailer, it would be: sports bras from Target, pants from Gap and Old Navy, tops from Old Navy, pants and shoes from Nordstrom. I have purchased all categories from each retailer but those items are my go-tos when searching for new pieces.
I haven’t had a ton of luck with maternity workout clothes until recently and that’s been at Gap. Old Navy also has great options but they sell out so fast in the maternity sizes so you have to be really quick to shop those items!
The pants you see in these photos are maternity and fit really great. I would suggest going with your pre baby size in workout leggings. The main difference is the band stretchy over your belly and adds support. They have similar color options available in non maternity as well.
The top I’m wearing is a long sleeve, white tunic that is great for low impact activity or to throw on over your other workout clothes when post workout. It’s a great breathable material that will keep you dry. It’s non maternity and is available in several colors. I’m wearing a size small. I added a maternity jacket over the top for those chilly days. I love to take Birdie for walks so layering up works best for me.
I’m linking all of my favorites by categories below so you can easily shop for new workout gear. Several of the pieces shared are on sale. Make sure to check the website’s homepage for a sale code at each retailer!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope this guide is helpful as you search for new Workout Wear! Happy Shopping!
