How to Dress Up a Cotton Dress with ModCloth

23 January |

Okay so I think I’ve found the perfect cotton dress. It’s the perfect midi length and it’s great for layering! I’m partnering with ModCloth today to share how I dress up a simple cotton dress. Calling all my business casual girls, this post is a good one!

Back to this sent-from-heaven cotton dress. It’s non maternity but does work if you are expecting. These photos were taken when I was 36 weeks pregnant and as you can see the belly is THERE. I love how soft the material is and will be perfect for newborn snuggles. It’s available in sizes XXS-4X. That’s one thing I love about shopping at ModCloth, they have several size options for their clothing so everyone can wear the pieces I’m sharing, no matter what your size is.

I love the dress styled on it’s own but I think it’s even better if you add a few accessories to the mix. I would start with a belt. There is a cinched waistline so it’s just begging for you to but your favorite belt to use. The one pictured is a few years old but here is a similar option. Next, I’m adding a floral blazer to dress it up. I love that this blazer feels more like a shirt and isn’t’ structured at all. It will be great for layering over a graphic tee and denim shorts once the weather gets a little warmer!

The sizing on both of these pieces are true to size. I did size up one size in the dress to a small because of the bump and would recommend sizing up if you are pregnant. Otherwise, go with your normal size. For the floral blazer, I’m wearing XS and say it fits great. The blazer is also available in sizes XS-4X .

You can also see another way to style this dress from my Instagram over the weekend if you click HERE! It’s so functional and very cute. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. This post is sponsored by ModCloth and as always, all opinions are my own.
