Happy Valentine’s Day!! This is such a fun day. So much pink and red and flowers and chocolates everywhere. I personally love going to Dunkin’ Donuts for the heart shaped donuts. Last year I was on a cruise for a bachelorette party so I wasn’t able to be with Chris that day. This year we are just grilling steaks and staying in. Chris’ birthday is the 16th of February so we usually end up combining the two holidays and going out for one dinner on his birthday.
This year, Chris got an early Valentine’s and birthday present when he went to the Superbowl in Houston! We decided that we would do presents but I have a little something up my sleeve for him.
In honor of all the pink on this special day, I am sharing this look that I wore in New York over the weekend at Fashion Week. I had the opportunity to shoot with a new photographer out of Dallas, Rebecca Rosen, while we were there! It’s always nice to make these types of connections. I really loved the pictures we took and I plan to call her when I go to Dallas in April for a second shoot!
If you follow me on instagram, you know that I have been wearing a TON of blush lately. I really love the way this color looks with my blonde hair. It’s the perfect muted pink for blondes. I think it’s safe to say that color of my NYFW trip was Blush. I wore it as much as possible and didn’t really mean too.
I went a little out of the box with this look with the bodycon dress and fur coat. I don’t think I’ve every actually worn a bodycon dress prior to this. I even bought my first pair of spanx! Y’all….those things SUCK YOU IN and I kinda liked it but I also kinda couldn’t breath. LOL, nonetheless they we great!
I purchased both the dress and fur at Forever 21 last week and love them. I plan to wear the dress again with a blouse over it to give the illusion it’s a skirt for the day time and then hopefully the weather will cool down in Atlanta and I’ll be able to wear my fur.
This fur coat, really it’s just some type of fuzzy material was only $45. Of course once I buy it in store, it’s not available online so i have linked a few similar below. I LOVED this coat in NYC. I wore it practically everyday over rompers, dresses and tops. It actually kept me surprisingly warm too.
What are your plans for valentine’s day? I’m hoping to get some girl time in this week with my besties to go see 50 shades of grey too! Happy Love Day!!
