Band Tees & Mini Skirts with ModCloth

22 August |

Switching up my workwear post for the week and bringing you something fun for the weekend! When I was working my corporate job, I always felt like I had a ton of clothes to wear during the week but when it came to the weekend I was always stumped. Do I wear a blouse I would wear to work to switch it up? The answer was usually yes and there was/is nothing wrong with that. But whose to say the weekend can’t have a few looks of it’s own!

I love graphic tees and think you can wear them so many different ways. I style mine with jeans, shorts, add a blazer and today and wearing it with a cute mini skirt! This look is casual, yet put together and perfect for the weekend! The best part is that each piece can be worn separately to create a whole different look!

The tee is probably my favorite piece of this look. I love that it just says “Band Tee” instead of an actual band’s name. For some reason that’s so funny to me and perfect for people who want to wear a band tee but has no affiliation with a specific band. I sized up and I’m wearing a medium for extra room and to knot the front. Getting your normal size would be fine too!

The skirt is also a favorite of mine and will be so cute with a chunky sweater and tall boots for fall! The skirt hits right at your waist. I would say true to size but I’ll personally be sizing because of my growing stomach. I have on an XS in these photos but it’s a little too tight. The skirt has button details on the front with a side zipper and pockets. It’s double lined and will be great for fall.

My flats and handbag are also from ModCloth and complete this look with a pop of color and texture. The shoes are true to size and a great pair for transitioning into fall. They have an adjustable strap on the back and are really comfy!

Everything pictured is from ModCloth! I’ve loved shopping with them recently because of their wide variety. I know I’ve said this before but they really do have something for everyone! I’ve find myself in what I like to call a style funk from time to time. When this happens, I turn to stores like ModCloth to find inspiration. I know you will love them just as much as I have!

Today’s post is sponsored by ModCloth. As always, all opinions are my own.

  1. You have given me so many ideas of how to dress for the office, I love your style and I have bought so many things that you have recomemded. The best thing is that everything has been directed thinking of a reasonable budget and at the same time choosing elegant pieces with an excellent taste.
