A Beginner’s Guide to Shopping my LTK
LTK is a popular shopping platform where influencers share their favorite finds including home, fashion, and more. I’ve been using LTK for several years now, and during that time, the platform has undergone a number of updates. With that in mind, I thought it would be helpful to put together a guide on how to shop my LTK! By the end of this blog, I hope you’ll feel more confident navigating my profile and ready to shop ’til you drop!
My Profile Page
Here’s what my profile looks like on the app: at the top, you’ll find a brief bio that gives you an idea of what to expect from my content and my typical sizing. Below that, there’s a “Posts” section where you can browse everything I’ve shared on the app!
Below the “Posts” section, you’ll find a search bar that lets you search for anything, showing the most relevant posts. For example, searching “white jeans” will display how I’ve worn/styled them. It’s perfect for finding specific items like travel outfits, statement tops, accessories, and more!
Right below the search bar, you’ll find a section called “Trending Posts,” which highlights all of my posts that are currently trending on the LTK app. It’s a great way to see which items my followers are loving most from my recent shares!
Collections
Let’s talk about collections! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by scrolling through posts or unsure what to search, collections are a fantastic way to navigate. I’ve created several different collections, each grouping my posts into specific categories. The photo on the left shows where you can find them on my page, and the photo on the right gives you a preview of what it looks like when you click “See All.”
The first two collections at the top stay the same: Reels and IG Posts. I update these daily with my latest Instagram content, so the most recent posts always appear at the top. Below that, you’ll usually find a collection labeled with the current month. This is where I organize everything I’ve shared on Instagram that month, from stories to posts. It’s a great way to quickly find something you recently saw but weren’t sure where to locate!
Other examples of collection titles include Resort Wear, Shoes, Date Night Outfit Ideas, and more. I also create collections dedicated to places I travel, like Charleston or Puerto Rico. Additionally, I have several collections focused on specific brands, such as Target and Abercrombie, to make it easier for you to browse my favorite finds from those stores!
Recent Posts
Below the collections, you’ll find the “Recent Posts” section. This is essentially the feed of my profile, displaying all posts in chronological order, with the newest at the top. I also keep three posts pinned at the top, which I update daily. These pinned posts feature my three most recent Instagram Reels.
When you find a post you’d like to shop, simply select the photo, and it will display all the products I’ve linked. If an item is sold out or unavailable online, I’ll include similar alternatives! You can see this in the right picture.
Switching to Products
If you scroll back up to the top of my profile, you’ll notice sections labeled “Posts” and “Products.” I’ve already covered the “Posts” section, so now let’s look at “Products.” The layout is quite similar, with a search bar and a trending section, as shown in the photo above. Instead of images, this section features direct links to individual products. For example, if you click on the wedges in the picture, you’ll be taken straight to the website where they’re sold.
Product Sets
Below “Trending Products,” you’ll find the “Product Sets” section, as shown in the left photo. This functions similarly to collections, where I’ve grouped together products I own or have discovered while shopping. By clicking “See All,” you can browse all of my product sets, which include categories like shoes, swimsuits, and more, as well as brand-specific sets like Target and Amazon. I make sure to update these regularly with new finds!
Gift Guides
This section might not be one you visit regularly, but it’s a fantastic resource, especially around the holidays! It’s also great for finding gift ideas throughout the year, like for birthdays. With a variety of categories, as you can see on the right picture, you’ll be able to find the perfect gift for anyone – whether it’s for kids, friends, or a significant other!
Recent Products
Finally, if you scroll past “Gift Guides,” you’ll find the “Recent Products” section. This updates with the latest products I’ve shared in my most recent posts. By clicking “View Post,” you’ll be taken directly to the post where the product was linked. Keep scrolling to shop all the recent items I’ve shared!
