10 Dresses to Wear for Family Beach Photos

I’ve had an overwhelming amount of requests for outfit ideas for family photos at the beach! We recently just came back from a beach trip and I’m already itching to plan another trip. While I am working on a style guide for beach vacation photos, I thought I would share 10 dresses to wear for family beach photos. These are all dresses that would look amazing in family photos, but that you can continue to wear all summer long! All of these dresses are from Nordstrom, one of my favorite places to picture worthy dresses.

This dress might just be one of my favorite summer dresses! It’s by a Nordstrom made brand, Calson, and less than $100. While sizing is limited on this exact dress, I’ve rounded up a few more options for you below of dresses less than $100. All of these we be a great option whether you are wanting family photos at the beach or even just outdoors in your home town! I’m wearing my normal size extra-small and would say it runs true to size. However is does have a natural oversized feel to it. I love that the straps are adjustable so that you can customize it to your height. I paired this dress with a straw hat and sandals for a casual feel, however you could easily add a heel for a more dressed up vibe.

Anytime I am selecting a dress for family photos, I always gravitate toward something with movement! I love a long flowy dress with a small floral or striped pattern. As for shorter dresses, I usually recommend ones that have layers, and are an A-line style, as opposed to a body con style. I also always recommend taking into consideration your location and what colors may be surrounding you. You don’t want to blend or contrast your background too much. Compliment is always best!
