The new year is in full swing, and I am so excited to announce my new styling series! The series will feature the closet staples that every fashionista should have in her closet at the beginning of each season. I’ll walk you through exactly how these pieces can be mixed and matched to create endless outfit options. First up, the Winter styling staples! From cozy cardigans to classic button-up tops, each item is a must-have for the winter season.

I love a great pair of denim jeans. They offer that classic tailored look that easily transitions with the changing seasons. These wide-leg jeans are a personal favorite and the perfect piece for winter wardrobe styling. They pair well with cozy knits, jackets, blazers and beyond. Whether you prefer high-rise skinny jeans or cropped straight-leg styles, denim is a winter wardrobe essential.
V-NECK SWEATER
Another piece I highly recommend you have in your wardrobe this season is a v-neck sweater. I love all the cozy and warm feels, but it’s also incredibly versatile. You can dress it up with a pair of tailored trousers and heels, or style casually with your favorite jeans and sneakers. Plus, the v-neck cut is perfect for showing off a statement necklace.

I love how a tee can be styled in so many ways whether layered under a cardigan, or worn solo with a pair of jeans. It’s definitely my go-to choice for any casual occasion, and it’s the perfect blank canvas for accessories. This timeless piece is so simple, it makes it an easy choice for any outfit.

A classic denim jacket is an absolute must in every closet! It’s such a great layering piece and can effortlessly elevate your look. I recommend pairing it with a cozy sweater and tailored pants. You can also dress it up with a cute dress and boots. This is definitely a stylish winter piece you’ll reach for time and time again.

A crewneck sweater is another must-have winter closet staple. Sweaters work well on their own, but I also enjoy experimenting with layering. There are endless choices when it comes to design, so opt for something with the perfect pop of color or a fun pattern. I recommend styling under a blazer for an elevated look.

It makes the perfect layering piece over blouses, tees, and dresses.
CAMI OR BODYSUIT
When we think of winter wardrobe staples, our minds often go straight to sweaters, boots, and coats. However, it’s equally important to have a good base layer, like a cami. Camis and bodysuits are a few of my favorite staples for styling cold-weather outfits. These pieces create the perfect foundation for all your cold-weather layered looks. I recommend styling a silk cami with a blazer and pants for a polished workwear look, or chic date night look.
MIDI SKIRT

Another versatile winter essential that’s a must is a midi skirt. I love that it can be styled with all of your favorite tops and blazers for work or play. While a maxi dress may seem like a summer staple, I think it’s the perfect addition to your winter wardrobe too! I love that a maxi is comfortable and offers great movement. The length also gives you that extra coverage during the winter season. I recommend pairing the classic turtleneck sweater combo. Finish the look with a pair of knee-high or ankle boots and a stylish bag.

The final winter styling staple, that should be on your must-have list, is a classic button-down. This is one of my favorite go-to pieces and can be worn in so many ways. Pair it with your favorite jeans and sneakers for an everyday look. You can also dress it up by tucking it into a pencil skirt and adding heels for a more formal look. A classic button-down is the kind of wardrobe essential that consistently delivers on style.
