Eye Shadow – Beige Brulee \\ Lip Color – 391 \\ Similar Pajamas \\ Mascara \\ Liquid Liner
I’m so excited to finally share my first YouTube makeup tutorial with you!! Y’all have been asking to see tutorials and videos from me on how I do my hair and makeup. While I do have full tutorials in the works, I figured rolling out a simple eye shadow how-to would be perfect just in time for the New Year! Today, I’ll be talking all about my new favorite eye shadow palette from Nordstrom.
Before we get started, I want to let you know that I am no makeup professional. I just know a few tricks that work well for me that I’ve adopted from professionals and friends over the years. I’m also not trying to be a makeup artist by any stretch of the imagination. I just simply want to share what my favorite eye shadow products are and how I use them each day.
About a year ago, I bought makeup from Lancome at Nordstrom. I was trying one of their new mascaras and received a free gift with purchase. In this gift was the most perfect eye shadow palette. It was a small travel size but all the colors were perfect for creating a subtle smoky eye. Needless to say, I use this palette every day until it was gone! I went back to Nordstrom to buy the palette in a full size but the color option wasn’t available. As in none of the options were even close to the shades I had been using. You can guess my level of sadness at this point!
A few months went by and I found a few other palettes that I liked and that did the job but none of them were exactly like the Lancome palette I’d previously used. But then it happened! I was shopping at Nordstrom with my mother in law earlier this month and she was looking at different makeup. Our Nordstrom at Perimeter Mall just had a huge makeup revamp and it’s amazing!! They literally have every kind of makeup and beauty product you could ever need! So as I’m browsing the Lacome palettes, I see a color option that is basically identical to the little palette I loved! I made the purchase and have been wearing it everyday since!
You guys have been asking me non stop about how to apply this palette for the perfect daytime smoky eye. I wanted to do something a little more permanent than an Instagram Story so I figured I would put my new camera to use and record a video!! I hope you like it!!
***Disclaimer*** I referred to the palette as Estee Lauder when it’s actually Lancome Beige Brulee.
Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts! I would also love to know what other videos you want to see next!
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring today’s blog post! As always, all opinions are my own!

What shade and type of lip color are you wearing?
Good day! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking
at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you
could point me in the direction of a good platform.
Love your eyeshadow tutorial. Purchased the eyeshadow and watched your video ????????. I probably need to get some brushes. That’s my next step. Thanks!!
I love the eyeshadow, liner & mascara!! I am going to purchase asap! Great video. Thank you! What foundation and powder do you wear?
Hi! Love your style. I am excited to see your hair tutorial. Thank you for sharing!
I love the tutorial. Can’t wait for more. I do have one question. How did you achieve the look on the bottom eyelid?
Would love a hair tutorial in the future!! I have had similar cuts in the past but yours always looks so perfect.
I have one coming this month!!
I love this eye palette ! Simple palettes like this or the small too faced ones where they have three or four shades are the best ! Your hair always has perfect volume and I would love to know how you achieve that.
Thank you!! I have a hair tutorial coming next!
Great tutorial! Love the look and how you showed your technique! Thank you!
Pretty color palette but BLEND, BLEND, and more BLEND! There shouldn’t be a definite line of color down the middle of your eye where there is dark and where there is light/grey.
Typically a rounded fluffier brush (versus a flat one like you used) is the type you’ll want to use to blend your colors together.
I loveeee it!! Subscribed on youtube and commented from my YT acct! I do makeup looks here and there on my youtube and share them on the blog so I love seeing other people do it too!! You should definitely keep it up! Congrats girl!
