The Trend I’m Loving Right Now

A trend that I’ve been loving this season is squared neckline tops, dresses and even jumpsuits. I love the way it gives the top structure, making it feel slightly more elevated. Which if you are in a professional setting is a must-have. The great thing about a top like this is just how versatile it is. You can pair with with white shorts and sandals for a casual Saturday afternoon look. Or you can pair it with wide leg pants and heels, like I did here for a work wear look. A super easy way to elevate a classic work wear look is to add simple and timeless jewelry. I recently invested in a nice watch. This has been my favorite accessory to dress up any look. Then I will add a gold earring like these from Kendra Scott and a few stacked bracelets to complete the look. Another easy way to elevate your look is to add a designer handbag. This instantly gives you that put together feel.

When thinking about which pieces to invest in and which to save on, I always ask myself, will I love this in a few years? If the answer is no, I will find a less expensive option. For instance, this top is a little on the trendy side. So spending $24 aligns perfectly with my motto. However, a nice handbag, watch or even a great heel is something I’ll have and wear for years. Therefore I don’t mind investing the in quality of these pieces. By following this set of rules, it allows you to have a perfectly balanced work wardrobe that always looks elevated!
