Transitional Fall Pieces to Style Now & Later
Hi friends! I recently picked up some amazing new pieces from Quince that are perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. These versatile closet staples can easily be dressed up or down, making them just as great for work as they are for everyday wear. In today’s blog, I’m sharing how I plan to style each piece now and carry it right into the fall season!
Classic White Button Down
A classic white, button down is a closet staple you can use all year long! Investing in a quality one is worthwhile because of just how versatile it is and the many ways you can style it. I recently picked this one up from Quince and I’m obsessed! The linen material is so soft, breathable, and the perfect early fall transition piece. I’d style it now with light wash denim and neutral colored mule or ballet flat and then style it later with brown wash denim and a sweater draped over my shoulders!
Blue Gingham Maxi Skirt
This blue gingham maxi skirt is such a classic and timeless piece! I see this as a great workwear staple, especially for any teachers out there! With a few simple swap you can easily style it for the season at hand! To style it now, I’d wear it with my favorite white tee and a denim jacket. If you’re having one of those days where you feel like you have nothing to wear, this is an easy, fail safe look to reach for.
Now as the weather cools down even more, another great way to style this maxi skirt is with a cozy long sleeve layer. You can style it like I did here with the classic button down I shared earlier or even a cream colored sweater. Layer over it a belt to cinch in the waist, and finish it off with ballet flats or a cute pair of ankle boots.
Neutral Striped Sweater
A solid neutral sweater is a closet must have! Not only is it a cozy and warm basic to wear on its own but it’s also a nice layering piece. Style it now with some linen shorts and a casual sneaker for a cute, on the go look and then style it later with your favorite pair of denim and a coordinating ankle boot!
