Neutral Staples for Fall You’ll Love

12 November |

There’s something about fall neutrals that just works. They’re timeless, flattering, and effortlessly chic—plus, they make getting dressed so much easier. Whether you’re headed to work, running errands, or hosting friends and family, neutral staples are the pieces that transition seamlessly through any occasion. They can be dressed up or down, layered or worn alone, and are classic enough to carry you from fall straight into winter. Several of these looks would even be perfect for Thanksgiving!

I’m loving chocolate brown this season! It’s warm, rich, and feels refined without even trying. This brown washable silk skirt has quickly become one of my most-worn pieces—it elevates every outfit while still being incredibly comfortable.

I paired it with a soft cream sweater and a chocolate brown coat for a tonal, layered look. To keep the outfit from feeling too uniform, try adding a printed or textured shoe. Finish with a wrap that doubles as a scarf for those extra chilly days.

CARDIGAN I PURSE I SKIRT I SHOES

If you prefer a lighter palette, I’ve also been loving the champagne color of the same washable silk skirt. There’s just something so feminine and chic about silk paired with knits in the colder months.

I styled this look with an oversized cardigan and a matching mule for a cohesive, monochromatic feel. It’s effortless but elevated—perfect for brunch, a day at the office, or hosting at home.

The oversized cardigan from above is a great, versatile wardrobe staple. For a more everyday look, wear it with your favorite straight-leg jeans!

If you’re feeling the layered look, swap the cardigan for a basic tan long sleeve and this stunning cream coat I’ve been reaching for constantly. I added back the cashmere wrap and put on burgundy loafers to bring in some subtle color and texture. This outfit feels both classic and intentional.

COAT I DRESS I BOOTS

There’s nothing easier than a sweater dress when the temperatures drop. Here, I styled a deep brown sweater dress with the same cream coat from the outfit above. Then I finished the look with neutral knee-high boots to elongate the leg and tie everything together.

For a fun accent, I added a leopard print bag from my latest Vivrelle order. The print adds a playful pop without overwhelming the outfit – and leopard always reads as a neutral in my book.

SWEATER I PURSE I LEGGINGS I SHOES

Finally, the coziest outfit of them all. I’ve been wearing these chocolate brown leggings with a cream sweater that has the most flattering details—ribbed texture, wide sleeves, and side slits that allow for movement.

I finished the look with fuzzy short boots that are essentially slippers you can wear outside. This is the kind of outfit you’ll reach for on chilly mornings, casual errands, or a cozy day indoors – but still feel cute and put together.

These neutral staples are pieces you’ll find yourself wearing again and again. They’re classic, easy to layer, and transition beautifully into winter. Invest in high-quality neutrals you truly love, and you’ll have endless outfit combinations at your fingertips. Wear now, wear later, and build a wardrobe that lasts!
