Happy Wednesday! I thought it would be fun to spice up today’s workwear post with a faux leather pencil skirt! While this skirt might not be appropriate for all office settings, it’s a fun take on the classic black skirt. With all of my work wear posts, make sure that you are following your offices’ policy for what to wear to work, I know every place is different!

However, if this is something you can wear to work, then I say WORK IT SISTER!! So fun and flattering and is sure to spice up your office wardrobe. The faux leather skirt is available in petite, regular and plus sizes (praise hands). I truly think it’s a skirt that will be flattering on everyone! I love that it is pull on with elastic waistband. I sized down in the skirt and have on the XSP. I’m 5’5 and usually wear petite in their skirts – I like the way they fit me best.

I’ve paired this skirt with a blouse from LOFT and will share a few other ways to wear it in my stories today (along with a really fun giveaway). The blouse is a tad sheer so you will want to add a cami underneath for the office. I’m wearing XS in the blouse and say it’s true to size.

I have a big workwear blog post coming soon with several ideas for the fall! I know y’all will love it so keep en eye out for it over the next few weeks.

  1. Tried this skirt on this weekend and LOVED IT! So comfy! Didn’t buy at the time because it wasn’t on sale. I’ll definitely need to go back and get it after seeing how you styled it!

  2. Hi! I have been following you for a few months and I LOVE your content. I have a one year old and just finished nursing her so I appreciated all the nursing friendly options you give. I also love that your blog can be used not only for finding new pieces but just for inspiration when you need an outfit idea with the basics everyone should/does have in their closet. We are going to Disney world and I have been looking at all your archives for cute, functional, comfy outfits to wear in the park in 85 degree heat with two little ones hanging one me. More than anything I think the contribution you are making is great to women everywhere even if it’s not about the clothes. Motherhood, multitasking, not getting wrapped up in all the junk on social media… your message is great! I shop at loft almost exclusively I am 5’0 so their petite section is my go to. Looking forward to your Loft try on and hoping I will have a chance to buy some pieces with the gift card!! Thanks for everything
