Hello Sunday! I don’t usually write blog posts on Sunday but with the holidays so close, I figured a few extra posts couldn’t hurt anything! Plus, I couldn’t hold back on this fancy dress any longer! I also want to share a little bit on our weekend and some products I talked about on my Instagram Stories that you will want to grab before the New Year!
Last night we went to Chris’s company Christmas Party. I had every intention to wear the beautiful dress that you see above until Chris came in wearing jeans and a blazer. I quickly realized we weren’t on the same page as far as the dress code goes for this event. I changed into something more casual (this is the dress I wore) and decided to reserve my fancy dress for a more formal event.
But let me just tell you…this dress is PERFECT! The lace detail on the bodice, the large flowy skirt, the fact that it has pockets (need I say more?), the midi length and not to mention the beautiful silk tie that knots at the back. This dress is what holiday dress dreams are made of! The dress is by a designer in New York City – Hutch Designs. I’ve worn several of his dresses previously and can speak highly to the quality and fit of each one.
This dress would be perfect for many events throughout the year. A Gala, Formal or Semi-Formal Wedding, or a Military Ball. Pretty much any event where you need to be dressed up more than Cocktail Attire. I’ve recently received tons of requests for what to wear for a New Year’s Eve Wedding. This dress would be a beautiful statement, while still staying classy and keeping all the attention on the Bride.
As for sizing, I say it’s true to size. I’m wearing a 0 and the size options go all the way to size 12. The dress has a zipper up the back for closure with a silk knot that ties at the neck. This dress is reasonably priced at $149. It’s available at ModCloth and right now you will get FREE SHIPPING + free returns on purchases over $50.
I was telling my followers on Instagram yesterday about the sunless tanning products I’ve been using recently. St. Tropez Mousse has made it so easy to keep a natural glow this winter. My roommate after college used St. Tropez once a week and my biggest regret is not joining her sooner! She always had a nice glow and it was all thanks to St. Tropez. I use this glove to apply the mouse and typically do two coats all over my body. I also put it on my face and have not had any problems. They do make a face lotion but I have not tried that one yet!
What are your favorite sunless tanners? I would love to know what products you love most!!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Sunday!!
