Newbury Port

Spending time with family we don’t see often is always a special treat. We flew into Boston on Thursday night and spent the night with Chris’s parents in Worchester, MA. We spent our weekend back and forth to Middleton, MA to visit Chris’s brother, Mike, his wife Krysten and our new nephew, Caiden! What a bundle of joy!!

Caiden is fresh out of the hospital and only 3 weeks old. On Saturday we decided it was time to get out and visit a little town not far from Mike and Krysten called, Newbury Port, MA. What a perfect little coastal town. The weather was perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better first adventure for Caiden.

We parked on the street in town and got the stroller out and off we went to explore. We walked down to the middle of town and looked around. Such cute little shops! We decided on dinner at Not your Average Joe’s. Krysten and I had a few cocktails (a treat for a new mom!) and the best ciabatta bread I’ve ever tasted! The restaurant overlooked the water and was beautiful. We weren’t expecting the weather to be hot – it got up to the 90s that afternoon!

After an amazing goat cheese & watermelon salad, we went down to the boardwalk for a quick stroll. Mike is an architectural photographer on the side. He does amazing work and is very talented. I was excited for him to show me a thing or two about my camera and help me with a quick shoot. Here is a few pictures from the fun we had at Newbury Port.

Show Some Shoulder

One of my favorite trends right now is off the shoulder tops and dresses. They are so girly and dainty but a little sassy all at the same time. I’ve put together a collection of some of my favorites.

My absolute favorite top right now is the fresh start top from Dress Up. The lace detail has me swooning! It’s layered and can be worn straight across the shoulder of a little higher up if you don’t want to show all your shoulder. My lovely friend Paige Molina and I had so much fun shooting this top last weekend.

Here are a few of my other favorite off the shoulder looks as well. I’ve linked them all here: Off the shoulder looks

Boutique Love

Okay y’all! I have to tell you about my favorite boutique and why I love them so much. If you haven’t ever been to Dress Up in Georgia or South Carolina (soon to be Alabama & Tennessee) then I highly encourage you to do so soon!

So when you walk in to one of their stores you will be greeted by one of the nicest, most sincere girls. I just love the feel of the inside of each store. They are very chic, girly and the music is always rockin’! The customer service is excellent, they are constantly running sales (BOGO 50% dress, $12 sandals or 20% off your purchase – need I say more??) & their clothes are the CUTEST! But my favorite thing about them is their mission – to show the love of Christ and to help women realize their worth. How simple, yet amazing is that?

If you follow my Instagram, Loverly Grey, you will quickly be able to tell that Dress Up is my go to Boutique. The prices are so affordable and they put out new arrivals every day!

Sooo I’m telling you all this to share one of my favorite dresses from their new arrivals last week. In the summer, I live in maxi dresses. Especially ones that are bright with beautiful patterns.

I had so much fun with Paige shooting this dress at the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM this weekend. I mean, a CUPCAKE ATM!! What a great invention!

Here is a direct link to this dress on the Dress Up website. Also, be sure to stop by one of their locations soon! Bohemian Beauty Maxi Dress

Style + Warby Parker

I love Warby Parker. They make trendy glasses that are not only chic, but very affordable. This week I mixed my love of fashion and my love of Warby. Here is a look at our shoot at Warby Parker in Atlanta.

I love the layering in this outfit. And it was so easy to do! All you need is a shift dress, white button down shirt and a statement necklace! It always is a little chilly in May so this is the perfect go to while transitioning into summer.

My outfit details are here!

Weekend Wrap-Up

The weekend is over and although they are never long enough, we sure had a fun one! So many exciting things happened for us this weekend. The best was that Chris and I became an Aunt and Uncle. Our brand new nephew, Caiden Michael, was born on May 7th. He weighed 8.5lbs and is 21 inches long. I mean isn’t that face the cutest?

We can’t wait to meet him in a few weeks when we go to Boston! Until then, we will have to reply on pictures and videos from his parents!

On to Saturday…Chris’s old roommate and close friend is getting married in July. We went to a couples shower to celebrate them and had so much fun! The bride and groom went to school at Florida State so the theme of the shower was “A Night Out in Tallahassee”. There was a station for all their favorite bars. It was so cool to see this piece of what they loved in college.

I wore a comfy dress from Gap to the shower and i’m tempted to go back and buy it in all 6 colors. Yesterday Gap was also doing 50% all dresses which made this one under $40. If y’all can’t tell yet, i’m a huge bargain shopper. I love a good sale rack. Something else I love about this dress are the pockets! I foresee myself wearing this little number all throughout the summer.

Saturday night we went to the Zwieg Wedding at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. OMG it was so much fun!! We had a blast dancing and laughing and hanging out with our friends. We LOVE weddings so much.  I wore a beautiful long floral dress and loved the layered ruffle at the top. I just did simple jewelry because the dress was a statement in itself. Details on my outfit is located below! Congratulations again to the new couple. We can’t wait to hear about your honeymoon to Italy!!

On Sunday, we went to Athens to celebrate my beautiful Mama! She is the most special woman in the world to me! We grilled hamburgers and caught up on life. She says the day was perfect and that’s all that really matters!

I wore a simple outfit for our trip to Athens. Simple, yet very chic! Here are a few pics of my #ootd! If you haven’t been able to check my flats at Target recently, you really need to! Direct link is listed below.

Weekend Essentials

Y’all it’s finally Friday, or as I like to call it – FRIYAY! I wanted to share a few of my weekend essentials with you. First of all, i’ve been on the lookout for a leopard print fold over clutch for quite some time now. I kept finding ones I loved but their price tags were outrageous. So when I saw this one at one of my favorite boutiques, Honey & Hazel, I knew the price would be just right. I mean, how cute is this!? Next, no weekend is complete without a good pair of nude/wood heels. No matter what your weekend plans are, these shoes are great! I picked these bad boys up last year at Nordstrom Rack so I doubt they are still there, but any Steve Madden heels will do! Next, I have a cocktail ring and turquoise earrings that I just cannot get enough of! Turquoise and leopard together just really does something for me. Plus, what a great color for summer. Anywhooo…I hope y’all have a great weekend!

City Style

Last week I met up with one of my sorority sisters and had so much fun catching up and talking ‘life’ with her. It’s crazy how you can pick right back up with friends you haven’t seen in a while after a few short minutes together. Paige and I talked about our new husbands, about our homes, about life and mostly importantly about our passions. Paige has always been interested in photography and is exploring her dream job as a photographer. I have always been fashion minded with dreams of inspiring others one outfit at a time. Together we will be great! Here is a quick view of our time together. I’m so excited to work with Paige on a few upcoming projects!! Stay tuned 🙂
