Happy Wednesday! I received such a positive response on my work wear post from last week and I’m so excited to share another look with you today. For this week’s post, I wanted to share two ways to style a striped blouse. This blouse is perfect for work but can easily be transitioned for  after work activities too.

For work, I’ve paired this striped blouse with a black pencil skirt. I personally think that adding a black pencil skirt to your wardrobe is a must! When I was working in the corporate world, I rotated between 3 different black pencil skirts all the time. They are a work wear staple!! This one is from Express. I love the fit because it has a little stretch to it and it’s really easy to walk in. I would say the skirt runs true to size and I have on a 00. The top of the skirt is going to hit at your belly button so think about it being that high around you waist for sizing.

Now back to the blouse. If you haven’t noticed, I am loving all things pink right now. This striped city shirt is no different! I love the pocket detail on the front. The material is a polyester/viscose blend making it silky to touch. If you are looking for versatile pieces, this blouse is great! It runs true to size. I’m wearing XS.

I have styled this blouse with a skirt for work, but then I’m also sharing it with flared jeans to show you that what looks like a work blouse, doesn’t have to be worn for solely just work.

Anther staple item from this post that would be a great purchase are my flare jeans. They are from Gap and are incredibly flattering and priced at under $100. I’m wearing my normal size in jeans (25) in these and they fit like a dream.

I’ve added my Sam Edelman nude pumps to complete both of these looks. I cannot sing the praises of these pumps enough. They are the best shoes for work or play and I promise they will not go unused in your closet this season!

I’m going to keep my work wear posts going! I have a few requests on how to style flats for the workplace so I will be sharing those tips over the next few weeks. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Would love some work wear with cute and comfy flats that don’t make you look dowdy. I’m a teacher, and I love fashion, but I cannot teach in heels all day . . . My feet would fall off!!

  2. Love this look with the jeans! I am 5’5″…did you buy these in the regular length? I hate when my jeans are super long 🙁

  3. Both of these looks are adorable. I’m transitioning to a job that’s a little more casual so either of these outfits would be perfect for me. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I love this look! You have caused me to fall in love with pink all over again! Is that an Anne Klein watch? I have an AK watch that looks just like that. I need to get a new battery for it. Time (ha) to get it out!

Thank w! I look forward to your daily inspiration….
