Work Wear Wednesday – Pleat Front Trousers

So sorry it’s been a minute since a new Work Wear Wednesday post has been live. I honestly don’t have a good excuse for you on this one. Let’s just say that life has been a little crazy over here lately. I have good news! I’m sharing the BEST pleat front trousers with you today! This pair of pants is a crowd favorite. I’ve shared them several times in black (see here and here) but when I saw the coral color, I knew I needed this pant for summer!
No matter if you work in a business casual or business professional environment, this pair of pants can work for you. They pair great with a blouse that you can tuck in or any peplum style top. In this post I’m wearing the pants with a lace cami (this exact one is sold out from LOFT but here is the link to something similar). I’ve also added a blazer to dress the look up just a bit.
Side note: my white blazer is currently on sale for 40% OFF with code LONGWKND. I’ve worn her countless times. It’s the best blazer to have in your closet this summer. I’m wearing a size 0 and say it fits true to size.
Let’s talk sizing for the pants. I have both pairs in a XS. The waistline is elastic and they fit like a casual trouser pants (but look more dressy). I would say XS is my true size but I would also suggest that if you are between sized, then go up one size. I feel like I could have also been fine with the small. It just depends on how tight you want the elastic band to be.
For this look, I’m bringing some pattern to the outfit with a leopard print kitten heel. I guess kitten heels isn’t the correct term because it’s a 2.5″ heel but they are shorter than what I’m used to. Regardless, I LOVE them! Leopard print is one of my favorite patterns and this option also works great in the summertime. The shoes are from Sole Society and they do run true to size.

I would love to see a post about work shoes! Flats are my go to, because they have to be closed toe. in the winter i like booties, but they feel a bit heavy for spring/summer. I’ve been hearing great things about rothy’s… do you own any?
