Hey Friends! Happy Wednesday!

A lot of y’all have been asking about work wear lately and what to wear. If you have followed from the beginning, you know that I used to work in the corporate world and professional attire was a daily thing for me. I posted my work looks fives times per week and gave y’all tons of advice on what to wear for work. Now that I don’t go to a corporate job anymore, it’s hard for me to still be in real time, but posting work clothes. So I try to post a few looks that could be worn for work or play each week!

Today I’m posting a work look that I absolutely LOVE! If you are looking for the perfect outfit to wear to work the Friday before a UGA game to show your school spirit – look no further! It’s not been until recently that I started wearing red. I just never really gravitated towards that color but now I can’t get enough of it!

Let’s start with the blouse, it’s a little shorter in length but it’s perfect to tuck in when pairing it with high waisted pants or pencil skirt. It has a fun bow detail on the back. And its very lightweight! This is definitely both a work blouse but also a play blouse. You could easily pair it with black & white shorts for a football game. I also love the ruffle sleeve detail and the v-neckline. The neckline allows to to add a chunky necklace or go more minimal. I’m wearing a US 2 in this top, which is what I would normally wear in Topshop, and it fits perfect!

Next are the most amazing pants I’ve ever owned. It’s funny, I normally wouldn’t have thought to look at this brand for work pants but once I saw these, I knew it was game over! I love the trouser style, they are pleated in the front and have a pull on waistline. They feel so comfortable but look very classic, perfect for work. As for sizing, I’m wearing an XS. They hit at your waistline not on your hips. However, if you are between sizes, I would size up one size for more of a comfy fit.

I paired this looked with a nude, open toe sandal because it’s still so hot in Georgia. If you can’t wear open toed shoes to work, this look would also go great paired with a nude, pointy toed pump. One of my favorite purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is this Tory Burch satchel. I’ve been wearing it like crazy since I got it. It doesn’t hurt that it’s grey, has a shoulder strap and is my favorite style of bag to carry. I promise you won’t be disappointed with this one!

If you are looking to amp up your fall wardrobe, you must go to Nordstrom! They have the best items that you can wear now and later, the hottest shoes for the season and not to mention, they have amazing customer service! Like they are the nicest people who come to work each day waiting to solve your problems.

I hope you love this work wear look and I will continue to post work appropriate looks for you guys as we get into Fall. That’s honestly my favorite time to shop for work clothes!

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Wednesday!

  1. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. Also, the blog loads very quick for me on Firefox. Excellent Blog!
