I’m so excited to share today’s post with you! I’m teaming up with LOFT to tell you everything you need to know about this season’s trouser pants for work.

Before I started blogging full time in January of this year, I worked for a large staffing firm in Atlanta. I was an Account Manager and my job required me to meet with clients on a daily basis. I was also required to wear business professional attire each day. I honestly didn’t mind dressing up each day, in fact I took it as a challenge to figure out new ways to style work wear.

One of my favorite places to shop for work clothes was at LOFT. I often found myself stocking up on their Marissa fit pants of all styles and colors. If LOFT was having a sale, you better believe I was there shopping for new work clothes. I always got tired of wearing plain, black pants with my outfits each day and was always drawn to pants that had a fun pattern or a unique color. Don’t get me wrong, I liked wearing black pants just as much as the next girl, but it’s also okay to try something new when it comes to work pants.

Let’s get into today’s outfit! I wanted to style these trousers for a few reasons. First, I love this style of pants for work. They are very flattering and give the illusions of long, lean legs. Second, the stripes and buttons might scare the average girl away but I wanted to show you that these pants don’t have to be scary. In fact, they are very fun and will make you stand out in a crowd of plain work pants. I personally select the Marissa Fit because they are slightly straighter from the waist to hip, whereas the Julie Fit offers a little more curve from the hip to waist.

One thing I’ve found to be true over the years at LOFT is that you need to size down at least one size in their pants and skirts. I usually wear a zero most everywhere else but at LOFT I wear a double zero regular (double zero petite in skirts). I’m 5’5 and the regular are the perfect length for me to wear with heels. They also come in petite and tall sizes as well.

I went back and forth on which blouse or sweater to pair with these trousers. I finally decided on this flowy pink blouse because the color is just pink enough to make the burgundy stripe in the trousers pop! I also think that the trousers and blouse combined makes a statement…which I’m all about for work looks. You want your clients to remember you, right?! I’m wearing an extra small in the blouse and would say that it runs true to size.

The best part about these pants today is that they are on sale for $25 off! This sale is for all pants and jeans on their site! You won’t need a code for this discount, the price will change when you add the pants to your cart.

I hope you enjoyed today’s work wear inspiration and would love to hear your thoughts on these trousers! Are they something you might try? I’m adding a few other blouse and sweater options that you can pair with these trousers in the “shop the post” widget below. Let me know which one is your favorite!

Thank you to LOFT for sponsoring today’s post! If you have been following me for any amount of time, you know how exciting this opportunity is for me! When I first started blogging, I wrote out a list of brands I hoped to work with one day, LOFT being at the top of that list. It just goes to show that if you work hard, set goals and follow your dreams, great things can happen!! As always, all opinions are my own.

  1. You do such an amazing job with all your posts and positive encouragement comments. I look forward to watching your live feeds, as if you pop in my bedroom each day with an outfit or makeup idea. Keep them coming.
I love loft pants, as a 5’7″ girl, the regular fit fall perfectly with a pair of pumps. I am inspired by your blog and I plan to try these slacks and blouse later on today, I’ll let you know the outcome.

  2. You have been sending our entire family and many friends to the Loft on a weekly basis with your fantastic posts and styling tips. (Sometimes MORE often than that!) I’m so glad you have made your collaboration more official! A match made in Heaven! Thank you!

  3. Love this post! It’s definitely kind of a struggle to have to think of new ways to style work clothes in the business casual environment I’m in. Congrats on the collaboration with Loft. Hopefully this is the first of many 🙂

  4. Gorgeous, Brittany! I love it when you post work clothes. I am wondering if you might be able to do a post soon with some ideas for what to wear to a small company holiday party when it’s cold weather? I found the cutest dress at Anthro, but I wasn’t really sure how to style it (shoes, tights, etc.). Thank you!!

  5. I am so stinking proud of you! This collab is amazing! You look like a total babe in these photos! Love the trousers on you! Also, thanks for including options for the “curvier” girl! You always think of all of your followers when picking a style and giving options! Also love that you linked other options to pair with the bottoms! That is a great idea to show friends all the things they can add to make a variety of outfits with one piece! Thank you for sharing all of the information in this post and always providing cost friendly options!
