Hi Friends!! Happy Monday!!

Today is the first day of school for the kids in our neighborhood. I remember that feeling of excitement, yet a little nervousness, oh so well. I always tried to wear my very best outfit on the first day of school because I wanted to set my own precedent as the new school year started. Crazy how watching the school bus go by out the window can bring so many emotions from years past.

Anyway….since you didn’t come here for a trip down memory lane. Let’s get into Fashion! So I figured since it’s the first day of school for some, I would share a favorite fall look of mine. I love plaid! There is something cozy and exciting that reminds me of campfires, going to the pumpkin patch and starting to think about Christmas recipes when I wear plaid. And because last Fall, plaid shirts and jeans were part of my weekend uniform.

I bought this red plaid shirt as part of the #nsale this year and love everything about it. It sold out fairly quick in all sizes and colors but has recently been restocked! It’s long (PRAISE!!) and can easily be tied at the bottom. It does run really big so make sure to size down at least one size. I’m wearing a XXS. The BP. brand at Nordstrom tends to always runs big so just for future reference, if you see an item from BP., make sure to size down.

I think this top look adorable with jeans, talk about an easy look. Today, I added these leopard spotted ballet flats and love how the patterns mix and go together here. These flats are currently sold out however, you could pair these leopard flats with this look too (size up a half size). As for the jeans, I am wearing another #nsale find from KUT from the Kloth. I adore these jeans but they do stretch out so I would size down one size in these. Sadly they do not offer a 00 yet so if you typically wear a size 24 or 00, these jeans will be a little baggy on you. They also offer a petite size option for all your shorter girls which I love!

So friends, I hope you have a happy Monday! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions related to sizing for any of the items I talked about today! Cheers!

  1. Love that you tell us how the clothes fit like the plaid shirt. It saves us from having to ship something back. Also love your style. Thank you.

  2. Such a cute outfit!! I love a good plaid (or 20) come fall- but its 100 degrees in FL right now, so all my plaid will have to wait a bit longer! 🙁
