Tan Leather Mules

Hi Friends! Happy Friday!

I’m so happy to say the word Friday. We are in Athens this week for a wedding and I love being here at the start of a new school year knowing that football season is right around the corner. I grew up in Athens, GA and we pretty much did everything UGA related. My Dad has been the Women’s Tennis Coach at the University for the past 33 years, so needless to say, we all bleed red and black!

As the temperatures are dropping (well kind of, hello cooler mornings) and all this talk about Fall fashion continues, I figured it would be a perfect time to share my favorite mules for this season. I honestly cannot stop wearing these Halogen flats from Nordstrom. I purchased them during the #nsale and when they arrived I honestly wasn’t sure at first. I had another pair of slides that were a similar color but had a tassel detail. I just wasn’t sure if I needed another pair of shoes. As I was trying them on with some of my outfits, I was shocked at how comfortable they were. They are a nice leather so they hug your foot but you don’t feel restricted because of the open back. Man was I impressed.

I decided to keep them and I think I’ve worn them every single day since. They go with everything! Because it’s Friday, I figured I would share a more casual way to style them. I am loving step hem denim right now and these AG jeans are amazing. They are the softest denim I’ve ever worn. They are definitely an investment and I don’t think I’ve spent this much on denim in a while, however they are TOTALLY worth it. I will wear this pair of jeans allllll season long. It’s worth the splurge for good denim.

The hem on the denim makes for the perfect little ankle detail to show off the shoes. I paired the denim and mules with a plain white tee and cute scarf that will transition great into Fall. The top has the cutest little knot in the front and is only $34! It comes in several other color options and will be perfect for layering. The scarf is under $30 and I already have plans to pair it with this dress in the upcoming weeks.

Before I let you go, I do want to talk about sizing on the flats. You will need to order a half size up. I typically wear a 6.5 in most all shoes. I ordered a size 7 in these mules and they are perfect. The leather will stretch out a little bit but not a ton because of the open back.
