Our sweet friends, Britt & Cordelia, are getting married tonight!! I am so happy for The Willingham’s! They are close friends of ours and i’m so sad that my silly gallbladder won’t allow me to be apart of their big day. Chris is an Usher in the wedding and there is no way that I wanted him to miss his best friend’s wedding day. My parents drove over to keep me company while Chris adheres to his best friend duties.

And y’all better believe i’m going to try and stay up to hear all about it when he gets home!

Before I knew I had to have my gallbladder out, I had my dress and accessories for tonight all picked out. I found this beautiful wine/plum colored silk dress a few weeks ago. It’s seriously stunning! I love the back cut-out detail. It’s very subtle, but enough to be a little sassy.

Plum might not be a color one would think to wear for a summer wedding. However, the wedding is cocktail attire so I think a darker hue is perfect. I’ve paired the dress with a nude heel & leopard print clutch. I am going soft on accessories and only wearing earrings. They are dramatic enough on their own and I don’t want to overcomplicate the look when it’s not necessary.

Soooo, here’s to Britt & Cordelia! May you have a wonderful marriage and a life full of love and happiness. I can’t wait to celebrate when you return home from your honeymoon!
