Pink Peplum – Valentine’s Day Blouse for Work

With Valentine’s Day being on a Tuesday this year, that means people will be going to work and i’m sure you will see tons of pink and red splattered throughout your day. I used to have the hardest time the morning of the holidays that required you to wear a specific color (I see you St. Patrick’s Day…). I would stand in front of my three pink or red options, hating them all wishing I had something better to wear.

This year, I am saving you from that! I’m sharing my favorite blouse, that just so happens to be pink, to inspire you to pick out your pink or red before hand so you will feel excited instead of bored of your outfit!

So as you can see my blouse is peplum and has the cutest ruffle details on the bottom sleeve. It’s very modest for work but the details add a little something extra. In the pictures, I am wearing this top with white pants because I think that’s what makes it POP the most. However, I would also pair this top with a black or navy pencil skirt or black flared or skinny pants. I recommend wearing nude or blush pumps so the attention isn’t drawn to your feet when wearing this blouse.

The sizing on this blouse is tricky. I suggest sizing down a size. Ann Taylor’s blouses tend to run a little big. This top does come in XXS online. I am wearing a XS because the XXS wasn’t available but would have ordered the XXS if I would have know ahead of time. Sometimes once I commit in store, I don’t want to leave it behind! Ha!

For accessories, I am wearing a tortoiseshell link necklace from J.Crew Factory – If you don’t have this necklace, you need it. I wear it with sooo many things. I’m wearing simple earrings  and have on my brown Daniel Wellington watch (use code GREY at checkout for 15% off). I also added this blush leather clutch for a feminine touch. The pinks are a little different and don’t compete for attention.
