One Dress, Three Ways

Happy Friday!!

I’ve had this dress on the back burner for a post for a while but I honestly wanted to wait until it went on sale – Currently 20% making it $134. Y’all know how I fell about Sale Alerts and I just like being able to share items to y’all that you can pay less money for! Right now Anthropologie is having 20% off all full priced dresses and jumpsuits! They are also still doing 25% off sale items too. So basically there are a ton of great items you need to check out this weekend at Anthro!

So for this dress, I wanted to talk about three ways to wear it. I like investing in pieces that can be worn more than once but also in different ways so you don’t look the same each time you wear it. When I first looked at this dress on the hanger, I wasn’t sure of the length or if it would actually be flattering on. But once I tried it on, all those thoughts went out the window. It is longer than I normally would by a dress. I prefer a little higher over the knee or mid calf or longer but for this I don’t mind the length. You could also order the dress in petite if you wanted it a little shorter.

1. Wear it by itself! Well that was an easy and obvious suggestion. The great thing is that you don’t have to add anything else to this dress to make it better. It already looks great! I think it would be fun to add a chunky turquoise necklace to spice it up. Also, side note – with all options I am pairing a nude sandal with this dress. I have a thing for nude shoes and this under $30 option is my favorite!

2. Wear it with a hat! I have loved adding hats to my outfits lately. It’s so easy to do, especially for summer so you don’t have to wash your hair and it an easy thing to throw on and go (i’ve been saying that a lot lately). Adding a hat obviously dresses the outfit down a notch but I think if you wanted to wear this to more casual events like brunch with the girls on Saturday, this look would be perfect!

3. Add a denim jacket! I LOVE my denim jacket! And I honestly can’t wear mine enough in the summer. Are you ever outside and it’s so so hot then you get inside to a store or restaurant where they have the AC cranked up and now you are sitting there freezing? That’s the perfect reason to have your denim jacket close by. With this dress, I think the denim really pulls out the blues and deep greens so you see more of those colors over the pinks and oranges you see when the dress is worn alone.

Regardless of how you decide to wear it, the floral print is perfect for summer. I hope you love it as much as I do!
