Mixing Prints with Modcloth

24 July |

Happy Tuesday! I teased y’all last week with a sneak peak of today’s outfit and I’m so excited to finally share the finished product with you! If you have been following me for any amount of time you know I love to mix patterns and prints. The result is usually bold and will make you feel on top of your outfit game – who doesn’t want that? Today I’m partnering with ModCloth to bring you a fun look for both work or play!

I love mixing floral with either polka dots or stripes. Today I’m going with polka dots and LOVE this color palette. When I mix patterns, it’s almost always with florals as one of the options. From there I look at the color palette and see which color from the print that I want to match with a different pattern. Today to common color is the the nude/light brown in both pieces.

This pair of pants is so fun for work – check your work place’s dress code first. I’m thinking business casual should be fine. They are lined underneath so you shouldn’t any issues with them being see through. The best part is that you can dress them up for work or down for play! I plan to wear them with a white tee and denim jacket to travel this week. As for sizing, they are true to size and I’m wearing small. I just saw they are on sale right now too!! YESSS!!

The floral blouse is great paired with the pants but will also be a great blouse to pair with a pencil skirt or slacks with a blazer. I suggest sizing up one size with this blouse. I typically always wear XS and this one is a little tight so size up for the perfect fit.

My suede bag is insanely good quality and is a really fun color! I love that it feels and looks this good and it only $55 – Love when the good deals look good too! My shoes are selling quickly! They run true to size and if you are between you could easily size down.

I’ve got another fun look from ModCloth coming your way next week so stay tuned. I would love to know, are you brave enough to mix patterns? Comment below and let me know what you think!!

Thank you to ModCloth for sponsoring today’s blog post. As always, all opinions are my own!

  1. Love this! Thank you for sharing pieces that can be for work or play. I hesitate to buy things that I can’t wear to work but then have nothing to wear when I’m going somewhere besides work. Just ordered the whole outfit! xoxoxo

  2. I absolutely LOVE this outfit for work wear! I am not one to usually take chances on mixing patterns but when someone else shows how it’s done, it makes it a lot easier!
